I use the satnav for most of my route planning, but I also like to have a road atlas as a back up. As both the UK and European atlas need replacing , can you recommend any, of the many which pop up after a goggle search

The French AA one is good because the sections of toll road are clearly marked as a darker blue. Unlike Michelin where it's anybodies guess.

'er indoors likes this one. Very good coverage can be bought in most French motorway service areas, large supermarkets ie Hyper U, Leclerc ... others are also available

On and off for many years.
For the whole of Europe I like the Phillips as mentioned above. For larger scale it's either the AA map or buy a map locally. The satnav is great but I'm old fashioned enough to want to know where I am in relation to other places :)

Our maps are blue. Cant remember if Michelin or Phillipps or AA because i dont think it matters that much.

What matters to me is that it is ring bound and laminated so that it lasts an awful long time and that i purchase it either from amazon or ebay for cheapness.

As I am a member of CMC, I use dash4it.co.uk to buy maps as there is a good discount.
Very quick service too.
I like Michelin maps in Europe the big A3 one for Franc3 in particular.
