As I cannot see anyone under the huge blisters on some older 'C' Class it all seems a bit pointless to try. Anyway even at closing speeds of 160kph it is not practical.

I never waved to other pilots above or below me on airways at approaching speeds of 1,000kts. 'Hello, whoosh, bye - what was your name?'

Hi.
Sorry,not one for waving,it comes from not being spoken to on Aires/sites etc,when parked up...... We had more people strike up a conversation when we imported a UK. PVC we had to Porty land and had Porty plates on it, hearing us speaking English,semed to spark up a natter and we could be yarning away for ages. "Now't so queer as folk " .

We find the same. Somehow the friendly motorhome friendship we once enjoyed on the road has taken a few steps backwards over the past few years but so good to see the many rallies and meet ups organised by motorhome owners posted on here.

Since we bought our PVC in July, we too have noticed the lack of wavers and yet we wave .It is sometimes that dilemma that happens as they come towards you ,is it a PVC, or is it a work van, is it a horsebox, is it a delivery man? ?
The added bonus though now though?Does that mean we are stealthier for wild camping now as no longer white but gold. ????

The wave is quite a tradition but as I have found very often, its a pity that once on a site motorhome neighbours can ignore your very existence, until that is, out comes your dog and makes friends with their dog, and that starts a whole new ball game. So keep waving.

Oh yes they do, almost every ambulance we see even those running under blues and twos wave. On a recent trip to Anglesey that was about 5 of them in one hour alone!
