An X-ray published by Devon and Cornwall Police showing why it’s not a good idea…

I will add it's also not a good idea because you should have your feet at the pedals ready to brake etc 👍😉
I would imagine that the warning would apply to passengers, although I have seen an idiot on his own with the cruise control on, driving while his feet were lain across the length of the dash.

My brother was a traffic cop he told me of a tenager who was involved in a fattile RTC automatic car driving on cruise control ended up almost cut in two by the steering column with most of his insides around the steering column.
By brother held his hand as he passed away

Sorry Red. I’ve edited the thread title to warn that it’s not nice viewing. Didn’t mean to upset anyone, but wanted to raise awareness, that’s all. Apologies.

I do not think an apology was needed.

If someone posts a photo of a cigarette packet with horrible lungs portrayed does one have to put a warning on the post?

I agree with Karl Gromett

Thanks nicholsong, much appreciated. I’d far rather apologise if someone has taken inadvertent offence, though.

I have shown this to John numerous times, but he persists.
when young I used to put my feet on the front parcel shelf, under the dash. Was involved in a near miss, fortunately for me the shelf gave way, had setbelt bruising on neck and shoulder, must have been mid 60s as i wasn't driving. I cringe every time he puts his feet up.

Warning, this picture shows hundreds of lives lost, decimated and includes graphic images of damaged bodies.

People of a weak disposition are asked not to view..

Surely life itself is dangerous and full of unpleasantness?

So whereabouts does one draw the line?

My other hobby is knitting & crochet and I am aghast at how many people knit/crochet whilst a front seat passenger in a car. A knitting needle or crochet hook embedded in your body is not the kind of piercing anyone wants.
