I search for places on Park 4 Night using the map but strangely this morning I can't get the map up on my laptop. There appears to be a different front page on the website and I'm wondering if perhaps they've updated it and that the link to the map doesn't work.

Has anyone has had the same issue or offer any advice please?

I'm stopping using it. All it seems to do is popularise illegal parking areas that were previously tolerated, and now after swarms of vans using them the police are out at 7am issuing fines.
Currently my favourite one is camping car infos

That's not been our experience. Perhaps we travel in more remote areas than you?

Will take a look at camping car info though... thanks

That sounds more like a UK problem than a Park4Night problem. Have used it in France, Spain, Italy and Germany and thought it worked really well

Yes our bad experiences were in Spain, perhaps we were unlucky or we choose busier areas. Either way Camping car infos Aires all seem to be proper ones with facilities.

Just had a look and they have changed the home page layout as the map is now centre stage. If give it a few seconds the map does populate with the stop over sites.
I'm running Google Chrome on my Windows 10 PC.

It’s working fine on both my iPhone and android apps today.
We’re currently in Italy heading for Greece and we use p4n every day to find services and /or somewhere to stay the night. Often they're different places, sometimes they're the same. Sometimes they're municipal sites in a town, sometimes they're in a pine forest next to a beautiful lake. And everything in between.
I hadn’t heard about camping car info. I’ll take a look, thanks.

If the spot we go to using p4n is not a legal (or sensible) place to stay we find somewhere else.
We usually read all the comments if there are any and look at the coordinates on street view if possible. Then decide if it’s a possibility. And always have a plan B. Eg yesterday we thought we might stay in one of the places on the front at Rimini. After driving along it we changed our minds (as it was horrible) and headed inland to a spot I’d already identified as a possible overnight stop - plan B.
And it’s lovely.
Driving from aire to aire, parking up with dozens of other motorhomes every night just isn't the way we prefer to travel.
Isn't it a good thing we’re all different?!

Yeah :D we don't care what the Aire looks like as we just use them as overnight stops and we're off again mid morning. When we get to the destination area we get a Campsite

The thing with Park4Night is that it indicates where you might find a place to stop its not offering guaranteed stops. It's down to the individual to decide whether their chosen stop is a good place, an unrestricted place and/or a safe place to stop. Park4night can't be blamed if folk park illegally.

I think you're right in that you must have chosen busier areas - its rare for us to have even one fellow motorhomer park where we stop.

Thanks for the replies on the map issue.

For some reason it's now working as usual, albeit with an updated home page. It was strange that it was working on my ipad but not my laptop...

I find computer systems really frustrating lately. Yesterday we bought a little HP printer to use when we're away. It took about an hour to get it to work, we followed the usual HP setup... no joy - then iCloud printing elbowed it's way in... I don't want bloody iCloud printing, go away!.... still no joy... then the printer suddenly began to work for no apparent reason - we hadn't done anything else to the setup!

No matter the product we almost expect that it won't work without some sort of issue!
