Motorhome attacked while sleeping

I watched that video the other day, poor couple were very shaken up and very worrying how organised the attack was

I watched this earlier this morning and wondered why they only attacked the one van and not also the other MH that was parked just along from them.

It always amazes me that when a situation like that happens then a lot of folk's first thought is to get their phone out and record it, the last thing on my mind.

To coordinate an attack on both vans and get away with it would be way more difficult. Remember these are cowards .

Don't agree, they reckon that there were 3 or 4 of them as they found 3 bricks, "okay lads, now" and they all jump in the car and go, knowing it will take a good minute or so for those in the vans to wake up unlock and get out.

Good point . So I wonder why the pvc was targeted.

I all probability it was a case of eeny, meeny, miny, moe, but it was obviously premeditated as it was unlikely that the yobs found 3 bricks laying around in a pitch-black car park out in the sticks.

I've never really wilded in the UK, mostly because my wife objectsbto it, but like you, quite happy to do so abroad. Depending on the locality of course. But then, we did have our van stolen from our drive, in a quiet pleasant neighbourhood.

Another recent and worrying break in

Not very lucky, is he?

We had kids throw something or kick our motorhome while on a stelplatz on the mosel back in 2009/ 2010, Janie was cooking dinner and it was pitch black outside, even though she had nothing on her feet 😜 she caught two of the younger ones probably about 12 and dragged them back to the motorhome. 😁

We called the Polizei and they said you cannot hold people under arrest, you wouldn't do it in England 🙄 I said No 🤔 we take the law in our own hands and give them a good hiding. 😂

Anyway the children grassed the others up, and took them home, and visited all the parents.

We told them we was targeted being the only English motorhome there, they said contact them tomorrow if we find any damage, we couldn't find anything. 🙂

We often free park and its the same when I overnight parked in the truck, the safer places are away from places with a quick getaway, and the less people see you the better. 😎 Bob.

It isn't a good feeling when this happens and stays with you for a long time:

I reckon I've been quite lucky ,I've wildparked all the time in numerous countries and in a few dodgy places at times but other than boy racers I've not had any issues. Only once have I had something thrown at the van and that was this trip in Belfast, some lads threw an empty plastic bottle out a car window when driving past. Haven't had any other bother really. I think out of the way places are generally safer and less hassle. Town centre parking always carries more risk.

In fact in the UK you can make a citizens arrest and hold until the police arrive!

Its not click bait is it? Not watched so cant comment.
Always seam to be so many on youtube over exagerating trivial incidents because they know that dramatic headlines get more clicks.
I thought that at first, but I watched the whole video, and they seem genuine. I felt sorry for the woman as she said she suffers from PTSD they are in doubt now as to whether they go off grid again. They were very confident vloggers in my opinion though. I think they put a lot of stuff up. My hands would have been shaking too much to film any of it.

Crime is just part of the world we live in, thankfully not many reports on here of break-ins or attacks. I’ve never had an issue in the MH but have had my previous house broken into 3 times…it’s horrible if it happens, house or MH but it is very rare and definitely not a reason to give up MH’ing…you wouldn’t give up living in a house after a break-in.

I think a lot of folk are getting sick of these “van lifers” parking up regularly and leaving trash and 💩 etc.
I know not all are like that and some leave it cleaner than it was …..
I’ve heard of folk being annoyed by boy racers donutting around them playing loud music, egging, driving by with their hands on the horn to make them uncomfortable and park elsewhere. But bricking a van is a different matter.
Scary stuff.
