Hi Jim

yes, I see the problems with open collaboration .. and the work involved with having it tied to membership.

The quickest and easiest way is to have a map with just two or three volunteer collaborators placing the flags , same as you have on RVOC for the sites.

The map could be embedded in Fun or just have a link to it on the home page ..

It would be a bit busy to start off but would soon tail off to a few per week I guess.

I'm happy to volunteer if you go that way ..

Zeemaps is good and allows 3 keys to enable admin, member and viewer access (have to sign up to be admin). It would save you having to worry about adding everyone individually as people could do it themselves, while still giving you the option to administer / control the data.

I'm not so sure vandalism is a concern; there will be plenty of people who leave, stop motorhoming and more reasons besides that will mean any map tool will have a bit of baggage in the long run. However, to avoid that you can just create a post which provides the member key (password) in a member only forum.

I would reiterate that people should just put their town and not their postcode otherwise it would be like a thieving map for motorhome stealing scumbags.
