Hi,
A couple of old similar threads are on forum about this but camera affordability has improved since. Has anyone found an easily mounted affordable and reliable camera for passenger side . Are wireless reliable?
Fresnel lenses are useful but don’t seem to cover all difficult junction scenarios.

A good position but you will need very wide angle lens camera

@tkk
Wired ! I would never rely on a wireless system.
The ccd camera was only about £15 and the quality is great.
I’m using the over mirror monitor as it has a dual input and the image looks excellent but if your relying on the camera to see approaching traffic in detail then for safety you’re much better off using a larger monitor.

I’m sure @Taran_Las has a solution - although it was far too technical for me to relay here! He will be along soon to confirm...

Think it was Techno (could be wrong) had the best solution.... Fitted a window behind the passenger (right hand) door.

This was my solution. A cheap and cheerful reversing camera from ebay or banggood (wired) with a 4.3" monitor. I bought a switched cigarette lighter socket to allow me to switch it on only when required. See for an example of the switch.

IMHO its irrelevant whether you are rhd or lhd there are difficult junctions on both sides of the channel, but you just need to read the road ahead and line yourself up correctly.

Doing it the opposite way around: RHD Blingo on French roads, I use the electrically adjustable passenger door mirror to give me a view of oncoming traffic. As I approach the junction I adjust the mirror and then stop at as an acute angle as I can manage and check through the mirror to see the view.

Quite close to where we store the mh is an angled T junction where it is impossible to see traffic approaching from the left on our rhd mh. If I have no passenger I have to go a different way, otherwise rely on SWMBO to tell me when it's clear. I have a small camera and monitor which I thought I might set up in the side of the drop down bed looking out of the passenger side window.

Is there much problem with sidelight on glass/glare with inside positioning of camera, its an easier option than wired ext. if not

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
No offence intended but those solutions look very ungainly. I used these cams off eBay and they are fine after 3 years use. The camera comes with a cutter for the hole. I really only needed one but occasionally have used both. I have 4 camera feeds going into a dedicated LCD screen and an android radio unit. They are very wide angle for their small size.

One day I might paint them white :LOL:
