It's gone up a pound all them that got the £12 one better get in quick.

I had this yesterday - scary at first 'til you realise

a) no registration mark of vehicle
b) it was our wedding anniversary and we didn't go anywhere, spent the morning ironing!!!!!
c) wouldn't it have been a letter anyway?

As I get older I do worry that I may fall into one of these traps.

I got a message from Halifax this morning about a new payee I have not got n account with Halifax I just hope they are paying in to me:giggle:

I've had both this one and one from the Halifax telling me a new device has been registered, along with the usual phone call about an accident. I just said I don't have a licence since loosing it 5 years ago for driving with impaired vision - they hung up :shake:

I had one like that today only mine was more expensive, blasted cheek.
Had an 'accident' phone call yesterday.......yawn.

I'm guessing you don't use Gmail? I swapped over to it a few years ago and I've had a total I think of two spam emails since. Their filters are very good.

If anyone wants to try this route you don't have to lose your existing email address. Just set it up to forward automatically all incoming emails to your Gmail account. This will remove any spam and only the genuine stuff will get through. :)

There's different ways of doing it I think. I configured BT Mail to forward all incoming emails to my Gmail address. I haven't configured Gmail to access BT mail.

I'm glad I'm not the only one ...i got one too and being in Germany I worried for a moment that I'd entered a green zone or something but did wonder at home office

I then realised the date and I hadn't moved at all between the 3rd and the 7th

being a really busy worker (from home) there are times when i do get very bored or irritated if the home phone rings,
well it started like this
we have been informed you have been in an accident
my answer YES
When
My answer which one I have had a few
the last one
My answer OH last week
where you hurt
My answer OH yes
What happened

My answer == a very long description of an accident with countless cars, buses, trucks and a duck/chicken thrown in for good measure
over all I kept her chatting for over 45 minutes (it was a slow day)
eventually she asked what my injuries were
My response
I died
Her response pardon
Mine
I died
Needless to say they have not called back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The microsoft guy when he was telling me my windows were not working after a similar length of time of talking to a batty old lady and he asked me what windows I had and I told him love double glazed ones he suggested that I go the window open it and jump out I said OK but I live in a bungalow
He has not called back either

Shame because they were both so interested in my life I thought we could befriends

I had 2 of these yesterday for different amounts but both at stated they happened on the same day and at the same time so it must be true that you can actually split yourself in two

I just ask if “ they are going to do this for the rest of their lives or will they be soon getting a proper job ? “. :gum:

I had a phone call today, a recorded message from HMC telling me that if I didn't press 1 I would shortly be arrested.......I was terrified, NOT. :giggler:
Yes I just put the phone down.

A lot of these are set up very poorly..
Instead of pressing 1, press 0 or 9
Very often it will give you an outside line,,
Dial 123 ( yes, it is still the talking clock ) and just leave your fone off the hook for an hour..
Two advantages
1) They cannot pee any one else off for an hour
2) It will cost them lolly
Used to do it regularly and call my mate in Florida, but the bigger firms caught on and put a stop to it
