Hope so, I deleted one this morning.

There are loads of scam emails going round ... I got this one the other day allegedly from Paypal:

Just one of the many "out there".

BTW. I reported it to Paypal.

Yes they are, they know you have stored up loads of dosh cos your Yorkshire 😜
I`ll have to go and look for this "dosh". We could do with some of it over here in the colder East, just to pay the heating, I blame the wet stuff they keep chucking over "them there hills".

They are optimistic trying to con a Yorkshireman ........................ :giggler:

Keep getting one "from" SKY, about slow connections, no ref no address just want to find out details, as above lots out there now, people who can't get a job trying it on

You could arrange to meet them at a motorway services or a coffee shop to hand it over in person, once they’ve transferred the small sum of £23.12 into your bank account so you know that they are genuine.

It's a scam. There's no vehicle reg'n number and surely you know whether you were in a charging area on that day at that time?

Sometimes if you hover over the senders email address it will show it. Quite often that will tell you whether it’s a scam or not,due to it being inappropriate/unlikely.

@HowardH Mr Spritely has had exactly the same email, so unless you and he were in the same place at the same time in the same vehicle which is registered to you both😄😄😄😄😄😄😄 it's a scam. He's forwarded it to the government phishing site 🙂🙂

A penalty charge notice would be sent by post and include your registration number. The charge for the alleged offence would come from a Local Authority and even if they sent a non payment out to court it is unlikely that the Courts Service would have your e mail address on file. It's yet another scam.

Nah i had one too , last week . I just passed it onto Paypal , just as normal .

This is where it handy not to use your name as part of your mail address . I don't even need to open them before i deal with them . Junk , block , or forward , standard practice for me , either way , gone .

My friend received the exact same message, if you look at the top line they haven’t even spelled penalty correctly

i often wonder what im missing as i dont get any phising begging or spam emails anymore
Have you checked your accounts recently? They've probably already been emptied. Hence no more phishing? 😂

The best one i've had , was about two weeks ago for road tax . Well timed as i actually did have a vehicle due for tax at the end of that month , and i thought i'd slipped up , so it completely threw me .
The heading's were pretty much perfect , and the government do have my email , however there was no dear sir , and man there was something wrong with that senders email . Brain was catching up .
Hang on which vehicle ? , errr never pay that way , ahhhhh got ya , blocked .

VERY unfair on the unemployed to suggest these are tactics they are eluding to in order to create income, in my opinion only thanks.
Of the people I know who have fell foul of these trying times and lost employment, they are trying damn hard to get re-employed, not creating scam messages to gain financial reward.
Not a nice thought.
Hope it wasn't meant in the way it reads.

Sorry, seen now the way my post read, what i meant was those who do not want to work but thieve from / con the public. Should have said "won't" not can't.
Apologies for any offence, it was not intended
Joe
