Hymer Wilke Mirror tension adjust (1 Viewer)

Have worked on almost every thing in my S520 and there is yet more to sort. One of the side rear view mirror is prone to move in High wind. made by Wilke. Anyone had one of these apart ?

Yes I tw4tted mine in Morocco and had to replace the whole thing on our return. Not sure how you would tension it but it may be self evident when the cover is off. From memory there is a large nut on the bottom which might be the problem.

Righto Will dive in and remove that rusty philips screw. Thing is a Hymer after 20 years weathers well even here by the Southern Ocean. It is the mid steel bits that that fizz away and make it hard to get to the bits that need repairing. I always replace with 316 as even 304 goes off down here. Strange that the Merc G wagon alloys from 1988 show no signs of deterioting. My 2004 G alloys packed up very quickly when they saw the sea!!
