The engine battery on my 2001 Hymer B584 is on its last legs, I've ordered a new one but unsure how to get it out.
Has anybody replaced theirs, looking at it I think I've got to move the power steering reservoir and the cooling header tank to give me room to pull the old one out.

Mine gave up earlier this year on the drive at home.
Called out breakdown service and he had one with him so fitted it for me straight away.
Not the easiest of jobs given the limited access, but nothing had to be removed first.
He had to lift it in with arms outstreched and knees bent, manouver it into place, ouch, it must have hurt !
I think there were cables bolted together which had to be unfastened to give access.
PS mines a Fiat, yours maybe different ?

Got a 2002 B694 same front end and engine compartment I would think.
Did mine a few years back bit awkward but not really that difficult.

Mines on a Fiat so I have to have a fiddle when the new battery arrives.
Thanks for advice.

Glenn changed the battery on our B524 on a Fiat. It's in a well in front of the passenger seat. It took us ages to find it. He said it was very heavy but not too difficult to fit.

I can remove mine (2005 B584) without dismantling anything. It is awkward though as others have said.

New battery arrived yesterday and I fitted it this morning, not as hard as it looked, all I had to move was the power steering fluid reservoir , just undo a couple of bolts and lay it down.(y)

An added bonus, fitting the new battery has stopped the alternator belt from squealing (y)
