Emptying cassette and filling up with fresh water assuming you are 2 adults?

My godfather wants to buy a Wolwagen Westfalia with all in it for 2 people and he has been told he could stay 5 days with a 70 litres tank for fresh and 50 litres tank for grey (they are newbies so I guess they're not gonna have the right habits straight away!).
What do you think? I have 100 litres fresh water, which last about 8 days , and 7 days with the cassette but I also have a dry toilet (compost) and I am very precautious with water, even on my own. Last time I experienced these results it was in August when I went to Rambouillet to look after my grand son. I came along with sis but she disn't stay , she took a train the next day. So only one day with 2 people aboard, but but but...... I was staying all day long at my daughter's.

I reckon if our van cassette was the only convenience available, then 2 days or putting another way, 48 hours max, with a full stocked bar onboard
Thats why we need two cassettes I suppose as we only have the one for now.

As above, we empty out when we get the opportunity, but can last about 3 or 4 days if not.

90 litre fresh, 70 litre waste, about 5 days for each and we shower each day. Cassette usually last at best 2 day and we carry a spare. Usually fill up and dump when possible rather than worry that it getting a bit dodgy.

We carry a spare cassette just in case but we have not needed it yet, we empty when we can and we have been traveling South now for four week's.

Our tank is about 70 litres and we could last a bit over two days if we didn't shower. With showering not much more than one day - but this is without trying to conserve water. We have to empty our cassette daily.

We are 2 men in a motorhome so we have the option of peeing in a bottle to eek out the cassette.

cassette every 2 days but it would go 2&half, water usually every 3 or 4 days. Waste , I empty every day if possible.

We can have a toilet cassette last for up to 5 days but that really depends on how much we drink and how hot it is ... if it's hot weather obviously we drink more but find that as we utilise the fluid in our bodies more, less comes out!

However, as you are a French person Frankie I would expect you to make a cassette last at least 10 days seeing as most native French people pee outside from our experience ... yes we HAVE seen women doing it as well as men!

You do know that isn't healthy? Kidney stones are painful and serious not to mention the other consequences such as urinary tract infections and weight gain as lack of water reduces the ability of the body to burn fat.

If you ain't peeing you ain't drinking enough water.

We can eke our cassette out 3 to 4 days but that is by using a spray bottle with pink in it instead of flushing from the header tank which seems to use a lot of water. We only use fresh water tank for washing up and personal washing so 70 litres lasts easily 3 to 4 days too but we do collect 10 litres of freshly drawn water every other day for drinking, cooking and tea.

The toilet will be the limiting factor every time unless you buy a second cassette. Two days for us!

150 litres fresh water can last us 3 to 4 days
Cassette gets emptied most days but that depends what facilities are available.

Tend to top up the fresh water regularly anywhere that it’s free.

We have 170ltrs fresh water that can last us up to 8 days as long as we wash and not shower.
We can be VERY frugal with water when we need to be.

Only way to go wild and that's with the missus too, 2 weeks per cassette and have 2 of them, about 2 weeks with fresh too (100ltr tank) and carry extra 2 X 10ltrs fresh...

136 litre fresh, about 4 days with the 2 of us using the shower daily. SWMBO washes her long hair every other day; however we fill up whenever possible, even carry another 80-100litres in water jerrycans under the bed, so extends out to 5/6 days if required.

80 litre waste, but I leave the tap open and pour my peas and carrots wherever possible
Cassette is out to 3 days absolutely max, if we only use a spray dilution of disinfectant and water to freshen up the loo, but flush for the "big stuff" after using the Happy Bowl Liners.

If I am on my own, 120 litres fresh water I can get by on 6-8 litres a day - Shower every other day. Toilet needs emptying about every 5 days.

If I am with the wife. Freshwater 2 days max if I am lucky, with a daily shower for her, and toilet about 1.5 days.

and she says I'm the one full of $h*t.

Thanks all for your input! Very interesting to read the differents tips.
I will print all the answers so he (and wife) can have a more realistic idea. I think the seller was a tad optimistic especially with people not used to saving water

Cassette 2 to 3 days. Fresh water we use about 10L a day without showering in the van, so can last 9 days on a tank full.

Normal running - cassette two days, fresh three days, grey three days

Just the two of us with 70% of meals eaten out.

For two of us, pee's and poo's generally 3 days before needing to think about emptying. Although, being a bloke, piddling on the front wheel during the hours of darkness does extend the period.
