Just a tad..
Hello Polly and Dave

Sadly, due to breaking down on the way home from Swafham (still stuck in a lay-by now!) the earliest Iveco garage time I can book for the Motorhome is next Monday. 🤷‍♂️ So we won’t be able to physically get to Hereford! Gutted as We were really looking forward to it!

Harvey and Serina.

Thank you very much. Luckily I’m in a well equipped Motorhome 🤣

Mrs Carpmart and the dog have bailed out and got a lift home, so just me enjoying the sights sounds and sirens of the A507…. What a lucky chap I am!!!

Sorry to hear that Harvey.

Do you have an idea what has caused the breakdown?

Good luck with the recovery and repair. (y)

Best guess is gearbox output shaft sensor, then throwing a wobbly with ECU, wheel speed sensors, CanBus faults all over the place. Could be wiring or sensor issues. 🤷‍♂️

Lots of very helpful people unable to get it going at the roadside so it’s booked in Iveco next Monday!!!! 🤦‍♂️

Just being collected now, off to secure storage for a week as I struggle getting my van into the village and down the drive, let alone on the back of a wrecker. 🤣

Bleddy electronics.

If Crouch (who are a known reputable recovery company), are anything like Ratcliffes, they'll have done you proud Harvey. ;) There are only centimetres between the fence posts and the MH mirrors, but matey managed to reverse all the way in the cul de sac, and park the MH on the driveway, exactly where I'd have parked it myself. It was a pleasure to watch him in action. (y)

Our problem was purely mechanical, ie, a failed dual mass flywheel as it turned out, once the gearbox was removed.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Jim, just to say if you put that post code into a map search it does not take you to the site, best to use co-ordinates.

I've just programmed our Truck Sat Nav and entered Greyfriars Ave, which takes me left off the bridge, then left again. 👍

See you all there, after tonight's pub stop.

Cheers,

Jock & Rita. :)
