Tayna batteries. I was near Tavernes at a site and rang them up. The 2 batteries arrived in 4 days.
100AH deep cycle leasure. £37 for transport (they have a depot in Belgium) and the batteries cost about
£90 each.
Bloody excellent I thought.
You DO need to be in site so that they have an address.
They also give you a sitrep as to how far the delivery has got.
Good luck.
PS. I would NOT trust any local batteries as they may be just re-badged.

I wanted 2 days ago a pair of. 110 amp leisure batteries sent by Tayna to Silves in the Algarve and they said as the batteries were large they had to go via a pallet and they don't do pallet deliveries in Europe. So I got so battery refurb tabs and they seem to have worked

@scotzsue . Sue do you have one or two batteries? I think @DavidG58 had battery problems and disconnected one and then managed. Don’t know how as I don’t understand these things.
Hope you get sorted soon.

not long enough
we did have exactly that problem, if your friends have more than one battery I would suspect that only one has failed, but they all need to be separated from each other and the individual voltages checked to confirm, possibly under load

we were 'lucky' in that we thought we had a problem while at Vanbitz already for other work, they confirmed and removed the duff one (y)

but we then had three weeks round France in February on aires with one battery only and all went fine :)

Unfortunately friends only have one leisure battery and no solar, we have now moved on to Mataro and hoping to be at Benicassim tomorrow. they can manage on sites with leccy and for an odd night on an aire using vhicle battery for the watr pump only just switching it on as needed. Have suggested using bottles for flushing so they dont need to use the vehicle battery at all. hope we dont need to use the heavy duty jump leads.

You must have passed a few places to buy a battery by now. It is really surprising what you can find in Spain. I even managed to open an Amazon.ES Account and have some bits delivered to the site we were on and they arrived day after ordering. Google is brilliant and so is google translate for the times you find someone who speaks only Spanish. I even used it at the local Medical Centre.

Tienes una batería de recreo para el montón de chatarra que mi amigo está manejando?

Just as a PS "SCOTZSUE", HAVE YOU CHECKED THE WATER LEVELS IN THE BATTERY ????
Just unscrew the caps on each pair of cells and ( if necessary) top them up so that the plates you see are covered by about 6mm of DISTILLED water.
This assuming that you don't have a sealed battery which has no caps.
Good luck.
Mitch.

Yes we checked his water leverls, they were low and have been topped up but not holding a charge. Friends want to wait till back in the uk to sort it out. so it is just a question of us supporting them till we get back home. Thanks for all the help folks.

Hi Sue
Last year my battery died in Caceres and fortunately the campsite owner knew exactly where to go. We went in his car to Caceres where he took me to a huge building where all they did was sell batteries of every size and kind. Since then I have noticed such places all over Spain, where they have as much call as we do for replacement batteries. You could try asking the campsite people who will be sure to know where to get batteries. Alternatively in Benimar (nearby) they build motorhomes. This year it seems that almost every town has Motorhome sales, often on a large scale. They must also keep stocks of batteries.
If you eventually reach Cartagena, a company called Sangers have just about everything you could want. They are just off to the right side of the main road to La Manga.
If you get as far as Vera, Hispavan are the best we have come across in Spain.
Have a great holiday and we hope that nothing else goes wrong.

Hi Alan we are having a great time. Our batteries are fine and friends want to wait till home to get a new one as they will be laying the van up for the winter and will get a new one at the beginning of the year. Hope al is well with Rosie and her convalescence is uneventful.
