Hello!

Just joined after being told about this forum by a motorhome service chap doing some work for me.

We took the plunge after 4 years of watching other motorhomers on our trips to Wales, thinking how nice it would be to stay there for a couple of nights... being self sufficient ... enjoying the sun...

well what we thought was an expensive pipe dream turned into reality in October 2014 when after looking at various motorhomes, we found a nice Lunar Roadstar 570E.
A 5 birth (at a push) which seemed perfect for our first motorhome.

Granted, a used 51 plate with 74k on the clock, it has plenty of history, and a couple of minor jobs to get fixed before April but i'm looking forward to our first outing.

Well done on your purchase, we just bought our first, a Hymer last week after 4 years of watching (and saving)
Spent the weekend getting to know how thing work etc.

Our first outing will be at shell island, to test it, by Barmouth, we've booked up for a couple of days on the bank holiday in May, then we'll no doubt work our way south

Why wait till May, the weathers fine, just jump right in, we have some really great places local to us to try before then. One of our early mistakes was the belief that you had to travel miles to enjoy a holiday, how wrong we were,

You'll have a great time, kingsbury water park, conkers, even drayton manor (maybe avoid Bosworth Water Trust, long story )

Trekkin, we're just having a new gas regulator moved and pipework replaced with a new pig tale pipe (current one 6 years out of date) and then it'll be signed off and safe... but yes your right... plenty of local places to visit
