Has anybody seen a Moorhen with this? (1 Viewer)

We have a long standing pair of Moorhens near us. In the pond where they usually are saw this pair today. Not sure if new or the original pair.

But has anybody know why the LH one has it's tail feathers showing white to the front?

It's a sign of aggression.

A territorial warning against other birds and small animals including water rats etc encroaching into its territory.
