Good man!. Mind I don`t do Twatter and very rarely go anywhere near Faceache. I only even have an account due to needing it for a project a few years ago.

Whatever the motivation, ScotGov have stated today that camping with tents is not yet allowed.

Looking on the positive side it also says that wild camping should be ok from 15-Jul

Not sure what you mean. By definition under the Scotland access legislation "wild camping" means using a tent.

That's what I understood but just wanted to make sure. Others may think it includes motorhomes?

Thus proving, yet again, that the camping bylaws in LLTNP are not necessary to prosecute people who leave litter; nor do they stop people wild camping.

Under the right to roam you can walk and wild camp anywhere (i.e. not just "rights of way" as in England - and not just paths - but with common sense restrictions like not in someone's garden, or if it directly affects their business like in the middle of a field of crops). You can park your motorhome close to any public road - again with obvious highway laws applying.

I've overnighted in that carpark quite a few times.
It was all over Facebook last week and a local motorhomer had went round and spoke with the guys just as the police were leaving ....they weren't camped on the bit the memorial stands on but the grass verges around the carpark.


There was a few local women kicking up a fuss and i did ask them if they normally went past there and chased the boy racers etc that normally hang around in that carpark at weekends and leave their cans , bottles and takeaway rubbish lying around for others to pick up.

They declined to answer .....but that's who I've seen leaving a mess there
