I've received an email from a German couple we met last year saying their coming to Scotland on holiday and wondered about UK gas bottles and what adapter he would need if he had to purchase one.

I thought possibly this
Amazon product ASIN B07CJD5BCG
This is his bottle

Not sure if that is the correct one the thread looks too course on the far end for the German connector.
The German Propane connector is the same as a UK Butane, as long as they are coming in the summer he could just use a Butane bottle. Pick up one from a community tip would be a cheap option.

I think your right regarding the link Lenny, I'll have a look at the Butane bottle and send him a pic.

Most tips won't take gas bottles now, think it will be hard to find one on them unless you can maybe request the tip handlers to save one if any come by.
Our local tip refuse them now.

Get all my bottles from tip
Last one was a full green bbq bottle took it back to suppliers said it was wrong type and they swapped for full 13 kg propane happy days

Just return 5 spare empty bottles to calor. They paid my 7.5pounds each for them.. not bad as I got most of them from the tip for free.

I'm surprised at that as they've stated in the past without the original rental document they won't reimburse the deposit.

Every days a school day... Must be something new.
Mind you, nearest depot to me is Middlesboro... 50 miles away, the Lincoln.
