Gas fitting help (1 Viewer)

Hi all going away for the night tomorrow and guess what. We just checked the gas and not much left in. If someone can help that would be great. We have a gas low bottle and only these three fittings which were handed to us. Do we need to buy a fitting of some sort. Thank you all again fun members

There is a little whole outside that will take one of the connections of brass fittings

You may not need any fitting at all to use the UK gas fitting. The connector on the van should/will normally be the UK spec one. Just join filling gun to that.

Yes he did we followed the gas pipe. I will let you all know how he gets on. Newbies honestly are a pain (speaking about us only) but funsters are brilliant with advice and support. We are not going far but staying overnight an hour from us. I am excited but nervous at the same time.

Watch a few vids before going for a try, or ask the attendant to show you how it works. It has some danger to it, and it has some quirks to the system.

The gas nozzle will fit your filling point in the U.K. It can be a bit fiddly first time and you need to push the button on the pump at the garage. The adaptors are for foreign travel.

Hubby has just come back. All done. Glad I never went. Just sorting the old girl out to come with us and hoping she settles. All she does is sleep and wee and poop. She hates leads as well. A new adventure for her. I am more nervous about her hoping she settles. Thank you all again. If anyone thinks it is easy well it isn’t. Packed the bare minimum as well as only for one night

The only adaptor you are short of is the Euro one, which is used in Spain & some pumps in Portugal.

Hi Lenny unfortunately we won’t be going abroad. Have not been vaccinated (not an anti-vacxer) but two vaccinations in my life I was very poorly and the polio one at school my records have been lost (all 5 years) and GP would have given an exemption for me if it had been there in writing but no they have gone. Lots to see in the UK though. Thank you
