I didn't get to meet Tootles but loved his posts and had a lump in my throat on more than one occasion when he opened up about his past life.

Hi Ali, welcome to Toots old stomping ground. Me and Dave had a chat during last Christmas subs sale, he was saying that he loved this place and under better circumstances, he would definitely buy the Life subscription at £135 but he'd already paid £15 for the year and that. for him, would likely be life membership enough. We laughed but sadly it was.

I remember after our chat I thought about adding the life membership to Tootles profile but I resisted because of the Life/death connection and the fact that we'd talked about his life ending and it just didn't seem right. But after he'd gone I really wished I had. Which is why to make up for it, I've given the membership to you, I hope you get as much Fun from it as Dave would have. Best wishes.

Well what a welcome. I am taken aback on how many people have responded. To those of you I have already met and those of you I have yet to thanks. Thank you Jim for the great gesture of Life Membership Dave would have been over the moon. He did so much preparation to make this journey as easy as possible for me. I am sure my life will be enhanced on here as it was for him. I just have to get my head round the workings of the website but I am making a good start.
