Yes, but it’s their first time and I understand that they may not want to have finding and using. a fuel station as a first morning job.

These are great suggestion. Thank you. We travel next Saturday in the early hours but are travelling from Newcastle on Friday evening so will use one of these park ups. Anyone know the best place to get fuel before we board the train? Don’t fancy filling up on the French side.

France has in the past always been cheaper diesel for us & our normal refuelling spot would be the E.Leclerc at Boulogne HERE if travelling South and the Auchan, Grande Synthe at Dunkirk HERE if heading North. Both very easy to get into, even with a big van, and well away from Calais

We live about 1 1/2 h away from the tunnel and tend to travel in the evenings around 7pm and stop at Château de la Bien-Assise campsite 15min from the French terminal or Camping Chateau du Gandspette 1/2 hour away.
You can get on both really late and check in in the morning, if your after places to stay, close to the tunnel.
Both have restaurants.

Stop 24.The last service station in England: Folkestone is located just minutes from the Eurotunnel and not much further from the Port of Dover. It calls itself the 'Port Early Arrival Facility', meaning that anyone early for their ship or a train can stop by and rest before heading onwards.
First 2 hours free for all vehicles. After this, cars must pay £9 per 24 hour period, and cars and caravans must pay £20 per 24 hour period. HGVs must pay £23, or £34 to include a £5 meal voucher.

Tickets can be bought at the self service pay point next to the Bureau de Change.
