after much dithering and brain frying searching (too many options) we`ve decided to dip our collective toe in the water and have bought a 2008 Chausson Flash 03, Transit Cab, private sale. not exactly our preferred layout but rather than spend 50k plus have decided to "try" it out, see what we like/don't like then after a season, upgrade.

soooo, already we want to fit a towbar (pull the bike with us) and would like to know where would you recommend? we are in Lincoln.

a steep learning curve ahead but quite looking forward to getting on the road,

great news and welcome to MHF (y) enjoy your new adventure.

You won't go far wrong with the Transit base, I did 180k in one (not a motorhome!) and it barely needed a thing.

Hi from East Sussex and :welc:
Can't help with your tow bar question, someone may be along later with the info.
If not you may have better luck reposting the question with a relevant heading (y)

:welc:Armitage trailers at Ferrybridge do a nice range in tow bars, that's if you don't mind a bit of a drive north up the A1!

And welcome to the madhouse.

Update......................

heres one for you to ponder over and say WHAT?? because I am :-)

we had a couple of weekends away in the Chausson and loved every minute of it, and as I said in the beginning, its not our preferred layout but its a great MH and a great introduction, so we decided that we`d keep it a year or so and when "the one" turns up we can change then.

however, as fate would dictate, "the one" turned up last week, exact spec we want, so........ we went for a look..................bought it and brought it home today.

To say I`m excited is an understatement, really really looking forward to getting away even more if that's possible.

@vin.egan looks like a nice MoHo (y)(y)
Glad you now have the layout you wanted.
Good luck with the sale of your Chausson.

We just sold our MH to Leeds Caravan Centre. Paul Ryan is the man to talk to. He gave us a very fair price and came and collected it. Really decent bloke.
