Anyone upgraded there speakers? any recomendation? cheers matt

Yes. Although I also recommend upgrading the radio (if you've still got the stock Fiat radio) and putting some sound insulation in the doors (if your builder didn't).

I fitted a pair of JBL's.
You will need adapter mounting rings and wiring converters to suit the original Ducato speakers terminals
I also lined the inside of the door skins with a combined thermal and audio foam/foil to improve the sound quality and insulate against the cold.

I recently changed both the speakers and the radio. I went for MBL speakers as they were on sale at a 50% discount and a Pioneer radio which was also being discounted. Anything will be an up grade to the stock Fiat Audio system.

Our 2014 peugeot boxer sound system is really good. How old are these vans you are upgrading?

2016 Ducato with uConnect radio too. Used the equaliser function to recess the treble, boost the bass and bring the mids slightly to the fore, and perfectly acceptable to me whilst driving. When parked up I use the Blaupunkt system in the back.

In my experience, due to the size and shape of the vans and locations of the speakers, if you set it up "right" for when you are in the cab, the sound will be totally unbalanced from anywhere else in the van, and vice versa.

Ours is 2011 and the sound system was rubbish. I couldn't use it. It had a very tinny sound.

Sounds much like mine on default settings. The tweeters are far too prominent by some margin. Just needed balancing through the equaliser menu, but you may not have that on a 2011 van I suppose?

There was just no base. The base made the sound inaudible. Pleased to say it's much better now it's been changed.

The later vans are either upgraded or the speakers knackered in the older ones. The bass in ours is thunderous ???⚡?

I've had some vehicles with massive sound systems. I've upgraded the head unit to a Kenwood but the front speakers sound really good as standard on our 2016 ducato. Adding rears was a good upgrade and improved the sound.
You could add a small sub if you want more bass.

mines 2004 and i can barley here the stereo going to look into this cheers for help (y)

Our van is a 2013 Richard.
The JBL's I fitted were not big money as I doubted I could or would appreciate very good sound quality and I rather fear a motorhomes acoustics are not quite that of the Albert Hall, however the JBL's have added a richness to the sound and very noticeable depth to the bass.

I think the weight and size of the driver magnets tells the story.

As mentioned above, I put £50 JBL components in my 2007, upgraded the stereo and put in loads of sound insulation in the doors.

The stock van already has component speakers, there's a small tweeter in the A-pillar. So rather than take a step backwards with co-axials (where there's a mini tweeter nested in the larger woofer), I got JBL components too. The JBL tweeters mostly fit, but I put some high-temperature hot glue on them to make sure they don't wiggle loose.

The sound is now faaaarrrr better, much less tinny and kazoo-like. There's loads more detail that just wasn't there before, so it's possible to listen to stuff on the motorway without whacking the volume right up (although the sound insulation probably helped too). There's still not a load of pumping bass, but I've added enough farkles to my van without spending £££ on an amplifier and sub-woofer.

We added rear speakers and a Sony head unit
Misterg has a posting re the plug needed etc that's very helpful
The vans have wiring to the door pillar drivers side for rear speakers even if the speakers are not fitted

We have gone for Focal AS 165 speakers with a Elton 10” active sub woofer and the new Kenwood DNX9 180DABS head unit. We have also added a lot of sound deading to the doors.

I want to add sound deadening in my doors but can not work out how to remove the darned window winder handles! 1999 Ducato .

Sound deadening on back side of dash has made a massive difference though.

Just gone down the avenue with "Fli" speakers. Honestly ....great sound and not too dear.

If it's a manual window wind up and down then do a search on YouTube for, how to remove the manual window crank handle

Yes, I did a few things, but by far the best upgrade was replacing the door speakers with JBL GTO629 - 16.5cm 180W 2-way coaxial speakers and disconnecting the OE tweeters in the A pillars. I did look at two component speakers, but the JBL ones have a quite large cross-over unit for each side that needs to be hidden somewhere under the dash, and I thought that was more hassle than it was worth. I have no regrets, the coaxial door speakers do a fine job of the treble. I think those speakers may be obsolete now, but there should be something very similar from JBL. 100% straightforward to replace, but you might find a trim removal tool useful to avoid marking the (very soft) plastic of the speaker grilles. There are apparently wiring adaptors available to convert the stock plugs to spade terminals, but whatever I ordered turned out to be wrong, so I just spliced new wires in. The speakers came with adaptor rings, but I didn't need to use them.

While the speakers were out, I fitted Silentcoat sound deadening as far as I could reach through the speaker hole, pretty much as this video (even though it's in German! - there are english subtitles):

Plug to match the B pillar connector from ebay:

I also fitted a small sub-woofer under the passenger seat (which works quite nicely to fill in the bass) and a 2 channel amplifier which, in hindsight, was a waste of time - I can run the JBL speakers from the stock 'Uconnect' head unit and they sound fine, and are plenty loud enough.

The Eton kit is featured in the above video is perfect for standard Ducato without Remis blinders.

There is another one that takes the Remis blinders into account:
