Does anyone tow a 500 on an "A" frame behind their M-home or PVC....

Simple question..

Talking to a few others on the site we have been on, and they love them, because they are a reasonable size with the back seats down for the dog and are one of the lightest production cars around...

Yep we do, great little cars

Didn't haganap tow one a few years back ?

Haven’t towed one but had one for a few days as a hire car. Must admit I was impressed, feels much more spacious than you’d imagine from the outside and not a bad drive on non-motorway roads

I had one for a day as a loan car a few weeks back.
I was surprised at how nice it was.
Never liked the 'retro' styling but it was roomy and nice to drive.

Mrs Norfolk used to have the 500 Cabriolet, great little car. Felt bigger than it was. I traded it for one of the last Defenders. Surprised the marriage survived that😂. Sadly had to let the Defender go now😢

Now that B+E has gone I presume I can tow a car? Or a decent trailer or a boat?😃😃😃

Cheers James

We did.

Ian

Dont dismiss the Panda
The later ones (post 2012) are just a 500 in a frumpier dress, a lot less money AND a five door, so easier to get in and out of as our joints seize up

Mo JP tows Civita’s Fiat 500 and says it goes like a dream. He’s no longer a fun member so not posting here.

Yes I tow a Fiat 500 Abarth, very easy and the a frame is light so not much to be humping around. It is the electronic braked a frame from tow bars to tow cars near Grimsby.

Thank you all........... (y)

May have to discount the 500.... :frowny:

We need one with wind down or electric back windows for the dog to stick her nose out of...

If she can`t, she is travel sick...

As long as there is a slightly open window she is fine..

Bit like me then

I have a friend who has a pink one not that it is relevant 😆

We brought the Fiat 500 from Tanya and Mick and now we tow it behind our MH😎

Peugeot 107 or 108 has opening rear windows on the 5 door models
Roomy little car.

Yes. Karon's daily car is an A-frame Fiat 500. Guy in Stoke I know converts only Fiat 500.

Exactly the same, except ours isn't an Abarth, just a 500 Lounge. Great set-up (y)

What does the conversion cost on the car? I have a really nice Fiat 500 kicking around doing nothing.

We have an old polo 1.2 and my son is about to take lessons - could pull it behind my van and take him ...

Might be cheaper than lessons and insurance he might not appreciate it when I pull up outside his mates house!!!

Time for bed!!

I can highly recommend one of the non-electronic brake models
company was “Fit or Re-fit” in Warrington
Was £1150 for a Panda, it towed a treat and the guy who does them has years of experience

I know we didn’t tow it but I had a Fiat Panda for 6 years, great little car, cheap as chips, very reliable. I even drove it to Hull and back to collect son from Uni once but that was a bit far. Lovely upright position. Easy to get into for my “older” friends or Nick if his knees were playing up.

I traded it in for a Fiat 500L which is the big boxy version as youngest son was still at Newcastle Uni. That’s my excuse, it’s nonsense of course, I bought it because it was red and I wanted it, Mike has spent most of his final years at home due to Covid but he got a 2.1 hurrah!

Suzuki Ignis. 4 adult sized seats. 4 doors, 4 electric windows, large boot space with the rear seats lowered. Weighs 860kg empty

Ours has an A Frame fitted, but we don't use it anymore as ours has the robotized manual gear box, and it started the car on the M25. Bad damage ensued. However, the manual Ignis would be ideal.
