PVC Panel Van Conversion; These motorhomes are built inside the shell of a standard panel van, such as a Ford Transit.

If they have a sliding door, they are often called Woosh-Bangs which is the sound some of them make when slamming the door with enough force to make it latch.

(Mini Bus) They Make Better Campervans! 🙂
I'd question that statement.
In my opinion, there is to much glass, which is not double glazed and there is a lot to cover for privacy at night.
The glass is also to low, below counter height, so you end up with a gap at the back for things to fall into. the height can also effect seat back rests. (I've followed a few of these builds).
All doner vehicles have good and bad points, it depends on your needs.
A refrigerated box van makes an interesting choice. Its already insulated, has slab sides/roof so windows, skylights, solar panels, heaters etc are much easier to install. No side door, so more layout options available.
I'm converting a Transit van, it has more curves than a Curly Wurly! which makes things tricky.

I wasn't advocating, just conjecturing..

Today we went to the Bubble Car Museum near(ish) to Boston, Lincolnshire. They had this on display, engine poss nicked from a lawnmower & roof made of canvas but the display said they were often sold converted as camper vans.

Made in France so shouldn't be surprised!

There have been some really interesting conversions.
I saw a Morris Traveller with a taller/wider half timbered rear conversion.
A flatback sprinter with a garden shed on the back. Two triple decker bunks inside, so slept 6 and a wood burning stove! I came across it at a Cornish Reggae festival, full of German Students touring the UK. I think they thought seat belts were optional here.:ROFLMAO:
An old ex army Bedford 4x4 truck with a horsebox body, leaded stained glass windows and a tailgate that turned into a decking area (Same festival).
Also seen a converted Ice Cream van, several ambulances and a hearse. An ex army forward control radio van and a 4x4 transit (County) fire engine.
I love this kind of stuff.
