Not due to go for a few weeks, but wondered at the mo is there the same amount of delay time for the chunnel and are the delays affecting the road that leads to eurotunnel ? Have no sense of geography so the approach may be completely different.

It's fully accepted that this massive delay to Dover will be cleared in the next day or two. Apparently it's now down to around an hour. However, nothing has been mentioned about Folkestone so in that respect one can only assume that the train is not affected in any way.Not due to go for a few weeks, but wondered at the mo is there the same amount of delay time for the chunnel and are the delays affecting the road that leads to eurotunnel ? Very good information. However it's very acceptable in comparison to DoverFrom Eurotunnel website traffic info just now:
Folkestone terminal:
Our passenger service is currently operating with some timetable disruption, this is due to high volume of traffic. There is a waiting time of approximately 30 minutes before check in and 60 minutes on the terminal.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will cause to your journey.

For more accurate information, the highways agency or local Kent Police. From a personal perspective, in the light of recent disruptions it would be handy if this thread could be kept going, with any updates from Funsters travelling through the tunnel during the peak summer season.
We are due to go through from Folkestone to Calais a week tomorrow. We're obviously hoping things will be more or less back to normal - but this time last year we had quite a few delays both ways. On the roads and at the tunnel.
