Hi Gerry, sorry to have missed you this morning when we left !! Just a wee note to thank you for all the work that you put into this weeks rally !!
Loved the walk on Friday evening ! and the parade on Saturday afternoon was great too ! bonus was that rain stayed off and sun came out !
The field and the Aviation Museum was a wonderful location !
Hope that everyone is ok after the bacon rolls yesterday ! lol !!
If being repeated next year put us down for it.
Cheers,
Tom, Jen and Jake

Thank you so much for a wonderful rally Gerry and Lorraine @lorger - hope you haven't been put off doing another one :)

Dumfries as a lovely place and often overlooked as people make a dash for the central belt and The Highlands, such a shame as they miss so much.

Gerry & Lorraine, I agree with everything already said by the others in that it was a great meet at a terrific venue with lovely Funsters. (y)
We enjoyed seeing some of what your home town has to offer, particularly the parade and camera obscura.
Just remains to say a big thank you to you both for your help and organisation.

Gerry & Lorraine - thank you so much for organising the terrific rally this weekend. Swmbo and I had a great time, enjoyed the walk Friday night, the parade etc on Saturday day, tented get together on Saturday night and then Sunday disappeared in a blur!

Museum was very interesting and humbling too when you read the stories of the folk who gave so much, and on many occasions, paid the ultimate price.

Great location, great to meet other Funsters - I even got to shake Old Mo by the hand ! ! My life is now complete :notworthy2:

Thanks again (y)

I got to hug him!!!!

That`s where me Rolex Watch and two diamond rings went...:rofl:

Will return them in due course ........ the local man down the market said they were fake and offered me £10 for the lot. Wouldn't even give me a penny more when I gave assurances they were once yours.

Evening everyone thanks for all the kind words it makes all the hard work worth it, I hope despite the weather everyone enjoyed their weekend.
I would like to say thanks to everyone that helped us throughout the weekend with a special thanks to @milliethehymer and @tjay for feeding the hungry Funsters on Sunday morning.

As mentioned on Saturday night any money left over would be donated to a charity of the attendees choice, after chatting to a few on Sunday I got the impression you'd rather it went to a small local charity rather than a national one that takes 90% on wages before helping those in need.

I've came up with a few suggestions so decided to start another thread with a poll attached, if anyone has any better suggestions please feel free to speak up.

Norman it was nice to meet you at the weekend, the meet was very relaxed and up to people to join in as much or as little as possible. I'm glad you enjoyed the museum, the fact you actually worked on some of their exhibits must have been nice for you.
