Apologies if this posting should have appeared somewhere specific, but I'm at a loss at finding any relevant threads on here!
I'm looking at fitting air suspension to my Ducato based Knaus and have recently found a company in Italy named ' Easytop Air Suspension', they do a kit for €358.00 which includes twin gauges and delivery.
Has anyone any experience of using their kit?

Yes I fitted Easytop on my 2001 ducato based van in 2016 and have been very pleased with the kit, which is well made and easy to fit.

You will need to know what chassis your motorhome is built on.

This link is for a set of VB-Air @ £279 delivered from the UK supplier. It fits the post 2014 X290 Fiat chassis from 3.5T to the heavy chassis at 4.5T:

Footnote: Make sure that your suspension has not already been factory altered (I.e. double spring etc) or else it will not fit.

All the best,

Andrew

This is the kit I bought last year just before we went on holiday, I've still got to fit it but on examination it appears to be of very good quality.

Excuse my ignorance but how do you tell which chassis you have
(2018 Bessacarr 597) ??

How long do the air bags last for and is there any maintainence required?

We also fitted Easytop. Took about 6 hours in total -very uncomplicated fix and delighted both with quality for cost and the effect of the suspension

Leaf springs = Fiat

AFAIK swift don't offer Alko, but stand to be corrected.
... you can sit down now :D ... they do use Alko extensions and have done for a long time.

Alko extensions would still be leaf sprung though?
I've never had one so can't be sure but I think they use torsion bar suspension.

Unless things have changed Alko extensions used to be literally that - an extension on the back of the Fiat Chassis, but to answer the OP if they have leaf springs then the kits as described are very simple and cheap to fit. If they don't have leaf springs they will need an Alko specific kit more expensive - different levels of cost and effectivenessand probably professional fitting.

I think they are torsion bar suspension as I seem to remember something about having to grease the nipples? (stop sniggering you lot!)

They have and have had for years full Alko AMC torsion bar suspension chassis option on various models. When we bought our previous Swift 450 new in 2011, it had Fiat leaf spring but we could have had the 560 with Alko AMC low profile chassis.
