Coincidence - perusing this thread and Simon Mayo on Radio 2 is asking the same question!

But as for us, we're not fans and anyway his lordship fights like hell when trying to put his collar on, so a coat? No chance!

If we were out having a drink I would have made a joke here but I've held off :)

I can just see you with a poodle or yorkie and it wearing a nice diamond collar and pink coat :rofl:

As soon as we dress Maggie she goes straight into limp-mode....the look of her disgust only adds to the picture

The RSPCA have threatened prosecutions against people who dress up animals, and I really hope they do. I’m not talking about clothing animals to keep them warm, I’m talking about the abuse of animals - it’s basically cruelty. Don’t have animals if you think they are toys for you to play with, they are not.

Millie wears a equalfleece in bad weather, it keeps her dry and clean. Highly recommended them.

Our border collie's certainly don't need an additional coat, they've both got particularly thick coats. I was on one of our local country estates a few days ago & even though there was 6inches of snow my mutt wanted to go swimming! Needless to say I didn't let her go. Photo taken in warmer weather.

He is telling fibs, that is Georgies swimming cozy.....x:-)
We wouldn't dream of it unless we had a breed that needed it.....but I think it would be nice to get something, enough to make Katie smile, it would be worth it.:xsmile:

I have to admit Sophie and her boyfriend Rhys have bought Toby some outfits, Rhys and Toby even have a matching shirt, I refuse to walk him like this. Sophie sent me a link asking if she should get Toby this for Xmas.

Kerry, being a greyhound, should get cold easily - so I got her a fleece lined coat...

She's not keen, and actually gets too warm whilst out walking:

As long as we're moving, she doesn't seem to feel the chill... At Keswick she was actually doing a crab impression :D2, walking sideways in the bitter wind, but no problem.

She's not too keen on getting wet, so I got her a lightweight raincoat...

She's even less keen...

But after getting soaked in the rain - she does like a brisk rub down with a towel, and then a long nap in her bed;

As for "dressing up"...
I'm in the certainly not camp, pets are not 'dolls'.
