Just a friendly heads up - this may or may not be relevant for this weekend but if you are planning on eating out or even just planning a visit to a pub, it may be prudent to book ahead. My wife went to a hen do in Chester a couple of weeks ago and they had to pre-book each of the places that they went in. Apparently there were queues outside many of the licensed premises for the non bookings and that was not a Bank Holiday weekend. The bookings that her party made were for 2 hour slots at a reserved table - this may not be applicable to all pubs but it may be best to expect it rather than find out when you get there. Anyone planning on moving into Wales after the rally, please be aware of the different legal requirements still in place regarding the use of masks in supermarkets, shops, many places of interest and on public transport etc. North Wales is exceptionally busy and campsites are mostly full at the moment. The main route along the A55 from Chester to Holyhead is very busy throughout the day.

Carol It's not a "proper" white board but have a few surplus bathroom panels in the shed that I can cut to size then binned.
Will cut one up tomorrow and put in the Motorhome, can bin it there when finished with.

Thanks Gerry I'm sorted with the gas cylinder now and got the White board sorted as well thank you for the offer, it's amazing how our shout outs for help are always answered.

It’s a food festival so there will be nice cheese and sausages to buy. There are usually a lot of nice takeaway stalls too - curries, wraps, pig roasts etc. plus a couple of catering vans outside the arena.
Short walk into town where there are the usual small supermarkets - Tesco, Iceland etc.

Hi Carol, got a bit of a problem this end as the flexy exhaust pipe section on our van has split and it's not looking like we will get it fixed for this weekend so we're coming down in the car and we've booked into a nearby Travel Lodge for Sat/Sun/Mon.
Would you be able to give our wristbands to irv636 when they get there on Friday and they can keep them for us ?

Depending on your approach...

If you're comming in on the M56 and following the advice to stay on it to Deeside and take the A540 into Chester, then you have Deeside service station, current price 62.9, I passed it today and took note exactly for this reason.

Asda in Queensferry, avoid like the plague... It will take you ages to fill up, don't know why but it will, and the exit is not particulary nice.

If you're comming in on the A483, you could try Morrisons at Wrexham showing 57.7, but Morrisons have a non hab gas policy.

The other option on the A483 approach is an Independant garage, Smithy View Service Station, showing 69.9, this is where I fill up, high I know but they're independant and NEVER refuse a MoHo....

Flintshire AutoGas is also an independant option and one I support, but it will place you badly for entry into the Racecourse.
