Thanks all for the effort. I passed about 10 petrol stations on the way and none had it. I am at the Castleton C&MC site so on EHU which works thankfully.

Picked the van up today. Had about 20 jobs to do to get it and life ready for a quick first test night. Was adamant I’d do it same day as pick up. And we’re here now. Pitched up. Just having a cold one from the fridge before we head into the village for pie and a pint

Lots to do to the van still but it should manage tonight for us and the dogs

We use this app too and found it very helpful, it even shows the last time a myLPG.eu user filled at the site so you can make a good guess as to whether they still have lpg or not. And the price is shown based on user information.

I find this link by far the best source of lpg information for the UK. It can be slow to load but at least the information is reliable.

My lpg.eu has let me down both by showing supplies at stations that have run out and by showing them as run out when they have it available. These apps/websites are only as good as the public who update them, and even then the .eu one ignored one of my updates for several days. I think the filllpg must be favoured by regular users, such as taxi drivers so is far more current than some of the slick apps favoured by some leisure users.

Well.... I still don't have LPG

I drove back today via Morrisons in Chesterfield and they dont have it. Carried on past the house to one on the interactive map and they just sell gas bottles.

I cant believe how rare this stuff is. I thought it was everywhere. Ive been past about 30 petrol stations in the last 24 hours and even pulled into to the services in the M1 between J28 & J29 and even they didn't have it.

I guess once I have my first fill ill be away. But today I give up. Back home and going to relax now.

I've found the same. The LPG pump has been removed at my nearest garage at Hickstead (2 miles away) which is why when I installed my system I kept one of the pair of Calor cylinders and replaced the second one with a Gaslow refillable. Last week anticipating a rare trip in the U.K. trip I went to one 14 miles North at Pease Pottage as I was going that way to meet a pal but the pump was out of gas and wrapped in hazard tape so later I retraced my path 20 miles to the next nearest at Patcham and that was without gas and awaiting a delivery. I've never had a problem in France or the adjoining countries where I do 90% of my travelling.
A couple of local garages are reorganising their forecourts to provide EV charging bays (and so it seems toilets, a T.V. lounge, coffee machine and free WiFi).

The nearest to you appears to be Dave Croft Motor Services. The information was last updated in August so it would be a good idea to phone and check they haven’t run out. After that the north bound services at Woodall are showing as having it available, this was updated less than a week ago so should be ok. It is well worthwhile using filllpg, just give it time to load. Extract shown below.
