Have a good trip, I'm hoping to make a similar quick trip in the January. Just wondering which route you take to cross the mountains and which is best at that time of year?

I find I've had enough of driving after about 5 hours.

That's some driving. Are you using the N10 route ? I use it and find it great, although use a couple of short toll sections to round the bottom end of Rouen and through Tours. Also Bil, out of interest how do you manage the section south of Bordeaux ? do you use the Toll section or an alternative route. I'm informed it's worth paying the tolls on this section just to avoid the hassle on the other roads which build up near the bottom end.
I'd meet up and buy you a beer in Villasol but will not be there this time around.
    Have a safe journey.

    That's a heck of a drive.

I get tired and moody after about 400 miles.

    Have a great trip.
