You will be having a lot of trouble getting through to BF as the Pont Aven sailings have been cancelled for the next few days, and the phone is constantly engaged I sent an e-mail last night to customer services don't expect much success

Is there a kind person who can share the discount Brittany Ferry code for friends and family, we are taking a caravan across to the Costas via Bibao, and I don't fancy the long drive down from our usual Dover calais route, towing a big box, many thanks, Alan

Hi Alan,

We are one of those who were booked on the Santander ferry and were cancelled. Unfortunately for us, we were on the 30th April crossing that was cancelled and then our return trip was also cancelled on the 21st. We received £150 'travel allowance' for the first trip and £165 for the return, plus a refund on the cheaper crossing.

I intend to write a letter of complaint, not so much that there was a problem I accept that these things happen, rather that this does not cover the cost of driving from and to northern France. When I have worked out what it cost I'll let you all know. Never mind the fact that we had to leave a day early and were back two days late. My frustration is that the attitude of Brittany Ferries whilst very pleasant was simply, take it or leave it, regardless of the true cost of being let down - twice. When I commented that I thought I may have a case at law, I received a call half an hour later offering to pay for my campsites, which helps.

I doubt I will get anywhere but it's worth a try. Class action anyone?

Well suppose to be meeting friends 3rd June at Santander who where told first ferry back on would be their 2nd June crossing from Plymouth. Not heard anything from BF but their website now says that it's cancelled as well. Wonder when they will bother to get in touch ?????
Any ideas what alternatives they give you

I think they will offer you a cash allowance for your drive through France !
See post above.

It won't help the OP but if you want to change a BF booking do it online. It will be free unlike doing it by phone which costs £35 from memory. :)

If your disabled you have to do it by phone.
