Friend of mine is looking for the lowest price to cross the channel (I prefer the tunnel)
Dover/Dunkirk to Calais

I have been using P&O Dover Calais, I go out after 21.00 to Cite Europe and back before 07.30, this on weekdays only, weekend including Friday costs more.

Depends on the vehicle size.. PVC's possibly DFDS ferry, with a 9+ metre van our cheapest option is the chunnel

When you start checking on DFDS etc. Make sure you either use a different computer or remove your cookies when you go to book. It costs more all of a sudden when you go back into it.

we paid 120 last month for a thursday night late out and a sunday lunchtime back

P&O thru the C&MC is generally the cheapest.

I've paid last minute for 10pm this Thursday ,Dover to Calais return Monday 3pm £96.

Direct with P&O camping club came out at £199 for same crossing.
Deals to be had at moment ...

Everytime I book a cross channel trip I do a comparison between them all and end up going with P & O. Some people seem to get good deals on the tunnel crossing but I always find they are the most expensive. Probably because I don't book far enough in advance.

Tell the lazy sod to do his own research, or come on here, pay the sub and ask us himself.

What is his name and address please?

Depart 2pm on a Sunday in April, return 8.40am on Sunday in May = £151.00 CMC PO Ferries Dover - Calais, Calais - Dover

You could go with a partner in sharing a frequent traveller on Eurotunnel for about 55GBP each way if you want a couple of trips and the partner wanted three trips

It's now £46 per booking, with a £12 supplement for a MH, however, still great value and the only way to cross for us now. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
