Ideas? Links? Prices? Where to avoid etc? Time to drive there (realistically not in a competition). Tips.

Many thanks guys. Did France for 5 weeks last year and now we fancy the Spanish Costas this year. Ideally a short walk, pedal to shops etc as 'er indoors has a bad back and walking far isn't an option.

It could depend on when you are going and what temperatures you enjoy. The Costa del Sol has some nice beaches and interesting places to visit but is a lot hotter than the east costas and it can get very humid in August.

It depends what you mean by summer,,,Aug a terrible time to be on the coast in Spain as it is so busy..June and July its lovely on Costa Brava,,lovely coast and plenty of sites on the beach...enjoy. BUSBY

My vote goes to Costa Brava too but not in the school holidays - busy and expensive

As above.... July and August, hot and uncomfortable in a motorhome (unless you really do like the heat) plus campsites are packed and top whack money wise....
June ideal.. :)

Have done med Spain during school holidays and it was busy but fine...main issue is it is extremely hot at that time!

One consideration to think of is that mosquitos are very active in some areas of Spain, mainly around canals, lakes and waste disposal areas.
