We had a good crossing from Portsmouth to Bilbao, arriving there early morning. Then we had an easy drive down to Sobradiel for our overnight stop. Sobradiel was very cold and windy, we awoke early and headed off to Benidorm at 5am this morning. At 11am we arrived at Benidorm, what a difference, clear blue sky and warm sunshine greeted us. We are now pitched up at Villasol where t-shirts and shorts are the preferred attire.
Safe journey to those traveling down in the coming days.
Brisey & Pamelaaar.

Glad you had a good crossing, the winds in the UK didn't stop the boat then?

Villasol, that's the place to be, it's our preferred site. Roll on April.

Glad you had a safe journey, will be heading down that way around Christmas but via the tunnel.
No plans for a site so will be "winging it" will probably ask for availability in the area when I'm on my way.(y)

Glad to hear you are safely in your winter quarters I'm not jealous at all  she lied. x

I have been told that there are comings and goings day by day. At the moment there are quite a few pitches available. Two rows of pitches at the top of the site are being taken out of service when the present occupants move on. This is to allow new chalets to be built on those pitches.
Brisey.

I've booked from 8th Jan :-)

We are just going out Graham, Ziggy's on at the Tropical at mid-night and then it's Carlos at Sinatra's until 2am.

We are doing the the same trip in the new year. Was your overnight stop in Sobradiel on a campsite or a truckstop?

All the best for a good time out in Benidorm Brian & Pam. (y)

its not always needed to book there are a few sites so you can normally chose it will seem like ghost city on here unless we all get connections most funsters will be in sunny climes i think we best call the black chicken and ask if they can knock a wall down to make some room for partying weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

Our overnight stop at Sobradiel was at an official service area on the AP68.
There is a cafeteria and a fuel station which are open and manned 24 hrs.
Park up in a Bus bay as it can get noisey amongst the lorries. Wee have been stopping here for the past 3years without any problems, as far as we are concerned it is very safe and it is free. The Aire de Service Sobradiel is about 5 miles down the AP68 from the toll booth.
Safe journey down.

We took our Hits Sim Card to the guy in the indoor market yesterday. Ask it had no credit on it from last year it could not be topped up. He sorted us out with a new SIM card and put it in our unlocked MiFi to check it was working ok. All done and dusted within 10 minutes, cost was €25 for 3gig. Great service from Mi Mobile.
