Returned from a (mostly) fab 3 week tour in France. Visiting Hymerites who have settled in Dordogne region (near Brantome) followed by a stay with Morag's French friends not seen for 20 years living in Rhone Alps region near St Etienne. From there onto Lake Annecy.....the thing is we could have been anywhere as I haven't a great travelling companion in Morag(ro), my partner. She is mostly oblivious to the fantastic scenery in between. More interested in paper / google maps on iphone, head down with magnifier. To be fair, failing eye sight doesn't help! It's mhome heaven in Europe made easy with stays on Aires, but with Brexit looming it's not at all clear what the situation will be regarding a possible NO Deal. Possible visa's; travelling with our two dogs is expensive enough at mo (we paid some 80 euro's for consultation and tape worm tablets prior to returning to UK) let alone if they are to have blood tests for non rabies verification by a vet here plus declaration being fit to travel. (And if we plan to journey to Spain next January this must be done this Month).
So touring Britain then from 2019. No bad thing, this land is beautiful. But not set up here for mhomes like across the English Channel (crikey we're so arrogant). So do we go back to being a tugger? Given that you mostly have to book sites (and then during school term) and we could then further reduce our costs by having just our one (tow) vehicle...any views?
