Adria Twin Fettling

OK, so we have an orange Adria Twin 640 SFX on order, due to pick up on April 16th. We've asked Geoff Cox to add the following:

- extra leisure battery
- inverter with two sockets
- external shower hose - fits very nicely in one of the rear cubby holes in the cargo area
- an extra dual USB charging point so that we can both plug devices in when we're sleeping heads to the doors.

I'm also looking for

- a place to put mugs of tea first thing in the morning, so far this is the favourite: https://www.couchcoaster.com

- thinking about how to stuff rattling in the cupboards, maybe a piece of foam with cutouts? Have also seen this: Amazon product ASIN B004N7093Y Need the dimensions of various cupboards though... Or maybe this would work? Amazon product ASIN B00170VCCC
- seat cover for the dinette so the dog can travel there. Already have a harness for him. This is current favourite (I think the loveseat size will do, at least to start with): Amazon product ASIN B07DLS84WC
- some sort of organisation for the load area. Ideally something accessible from the cabin for shoes, walking gear etc, and something from the rear for BBQ, chairs, table, firepit etc.

- something to dry towels on

Just one thing to check out ... what leisure battery are the adding? When we've had a second one installed by dealers they often remove the original and put in 2 matching ones but NOT the same type as the original (eg lead acid as opposed to AGM), so may be of inferior quality/type. Make sure you are getting the same as the original.

Good point - they're not removing the original but are matching its capacity exactly.

Excellent idea! Ive also been reading the Globecar one and Minxy Girl’s site -
Some good tips there. Picking up our Twin in a week or so after an extra battery fitted so something to ask! Also having solar panel and refillable gas system.

Ours came with solar panel and we decided to hold off on the gas for now. We've got diesel heating, same as our VW, and we didn't even finish a tiny bottle in 2 years with that.

Away in the new Adria Twin 640SLB, picked up last Sunday from dealer.
Extras;-
Factory Solar (125w)
Factory Awning 4m Omnistore
Factory 152 litre tall fridge/freezer
Factory Spare Wheel
Factory Door screen

Dealer fitted TV Aerial- went for for maxview omni for ease+ amp
Dealer fitted matching 100w AGM second battery

Currently no radio in cab....any suggestions for non-genuine?
Want double din but not a sound snob, so “value” is important

Cheers

I love the Globecar thread full of what people are doing to their vans, so thought I'd start one for Adria Twins!

Fantastic, well done you (y).......

I'm looking forward to watching this thread unfold.

The Globecar and Adria PVCs are definitely the best out there IMO.

.......... and their owners are just sooooooo COOL ......:D

Relatively cheap, good sound, good DAB reception, CD, Dual phone bluetooth, USB, HDMI MHL input and lots of other good features.

Well I guess I'd better put a post in this section of all the mods we have done so far...

I’ve had a Pioneer DA230DAB fitted to replace a single DIN DAB radio. I have found that using Google maps through Apple CarPlay works well for satellite navigation, and is a lot cheaper than a unit with built in satnav. Even though I’ve got a Garmin 760 Camper satnav unit, I just don’t bother to use it.
