Are they really that good ? what is the fabric please.
How long does your dog stay zipped inside, I fear I might have a protesting dog after a few minutes

We think so, there made of microfibre so holds the water well the dogs only stay in there long enough to be rubbed down don't see the need to leave them any longer as I think ours would protest also, although there is plenty of room in there, we got them from the nec show see them there every time so took the plunge this time and we weren't disappointed, below is a link to their web page if you want a look.

We bought one of the Doggy Bags from the NEC a few years ago. The fabric is great for towelling down a wet dog, but our Labrador protested big time to being zipped in!

Gosh they’re not cheap ! I was all for buying one. But I think I’ll make do with the microfibre towel we already use .

Another vote for equalfleece and the dry bag.
Both essential for our daily beach walks..

Your right that's why it took us a few years to buy them we did get a deal at the show but still expensive overall, funny thing is the dogs probably wished we hadn't bothered o_O

That face says it all :xrofl:
Buster would just stand there legs apart and not budge an inch if we put him in that. He won’t wear a coat if straps go round his back legs .
If I saw one in a pet shop, and could try before I buy , I would. Because I’m told they are very good at keeping the dogs coat dry.

not long enough
Dawn, I have no knowledge of these devices, but are they not meant for drying after the event? if it gets wet is it still effective

TBH the question is rather academic, I really can't see Lola in one

but she does do a rather cute trick for drying her, rolling on her back, will try for a photo tomorrow :)

These 'bag' things are okay but there's no way on earth ours would want to stand still long enough to be zipped in, never mind keep one on!

As for the equalfleece ... our Tazzy will NOT budge an inch with anything on her ... she just stands and sulks, nothing, and I mean NOTHING will get her to move, not even a dog treat!

Never stop learning 😊
We tried one of those 'dry bags' many years ago with a Bearded Collie who thought he was an otter and couldn't be easily kept out of water . . .

He panicked when we put him in it because he couldn't walk (think sack-race from an old fashioned sports day!) and it was no fun trying to get him out of it whilst stopping him thrashing around and nearly hurting himself.

To use something to dry the dog but not restrain them you could use a toddler 'hoodie/poncho' type towel like this and simply fasten it around the waist, yes you'd still have to dry the legs/feet but as they are usually absolutely filthy rather than just wet I'd clean and dry them anyway as it would make the inside of a doggy bag very dirty otherwise plus having the towel over the body means you don't get soaked whilst trying to restrain the dog whilst cleaning the legs ... then just let the poncho dry the body. Or you could make your own from a towel by just put a hole in for the head to go through and fasten it on with some velcro tabs etc.

Nor will I in the future.

Buy a large microfibre towel (£15-£20) and rub....

Indy, our Golden Retriever loves a good rub... (funny how The Beauty Terrorist happily rubs him, but I don't get a look in.....)
