Ok
Several times we have caught the switches, particularly the awning light without realising, so made this.....

You might be on to something here. Did you read recently about the van fire, turned out the owners had accidentally switched on the electric hob ring when it had a tea cloth on it, and then went out.
I have knocked our electric ring on several times, and now put a whistling kettle on it, just in case.

Blimey...
Wasn't the job I was referring too......thankfully.
But the switches for internal lighting and the awning light. And the awning light is the one you can't see is on if you're all closed down for the night....

Great idea. I do wonder if it's Saul's nose that has sometimes caught the switches - they look about huge doggie nose height to me.

Super idea & looks good too. I have no idea why awning lights don't have an internal tell-tale but none seem to. One of my caravans had a PIR detector built into the awning light. If it was left switched on the awning light came on as I passed pedestrians on the street. That was fun :).

I sometimes catch the light switch just inside the habitation door with my bum. Yes it is a bit big, the switch that is. No problem when on hook up, but sometimes don't notice in strong sunlight. your solution looks ok but i would never get through the door with that lot in front of it.

That would have made it awkward to get at the switches though ...

good idea. What's it made from? Is it a cupboard door handle?

home made, bent ali bar, drilled and stoppered two other short bits, screwed short parts in, loctited bar into short bits with 368, so that def wont fall out!

Shame the switches dont have LED,s to show they are switched on, if they are bright Chrome Finish they are even harder to see if on or off, especially if they are in a bank of 4 one above the other. Yes the awning light is easily left on when the blinds are down for the night, just as well I nip out for a stretch before turning in for the night. Thats a good mod, as usual the simple solutions are nearly always the best.

Our awning light is also sideways on the RHS of the inner entrance step , but it's a LHS hand rail - so it's second nature to carry whatever with your right hand/arm, even if you're like Olive Oyl and aren't carrying extra weight, wearing a big thick coat and have a shoulder bag as well as a load of shopping!

Our glass cooker lid went off like a hand grenade when we did that. Found bits of glass all over the van.

Great idea. I'm always doing this and it looks like we have exactly the same van, Adria twin 640 slx in titanium ?
I will do this as well.
