I am looking for a battery hoover compact that can be used for the Electric sites and non electric sites.

I have seen this .
Amazon product ASIN B00IUK8018
but if anyone has a better recommendation I am interested.

so what do you use…?

We've got the same one, Ann likes it 👍

Personally I'd just use a dustpan and brush then hit it with the Henry when we get home.

Edit: think ours is 18v

I’ve never tried a Hoover and don’t know if there is a battery lightweight one available. The one in your picture isn’t a Hoover it is a Black and Decker.
We have a Dyson rechargeable one which we initially bought for the van. It’s that good we now use it in the house as well. Much more powerful than the gtech as we have proven to ourselves.
They are expensive but as with all things. You get what you pay for.

Sorry I should have said a vacuum hoover.

We have a Dyson Car & Boat it comes with a 12v charger as well as the mains one, and a lot more tools than the standard version.

Expensive but a Dyson works for us😊

A few years ago, we bought a Black & Decker rechargeable vacuum cleaner for use in our car and van - very similar to this one:

Its OK, I suppose. Suction is so-so. The battery lasts about 7-8 minutes before it runs down. So, in our experience, it couldn‘t cope with doing all the floor area and nooks and crannies of our van, but was OK for a quick clean of a small area. In the end, we mainly used the same method as Richard n Ann:

I was given the same one as a present. I only used it once. Too bulky and cumbersome and not as powerful as its looks would suggest.
As Richard n Ann I use a dustpan and brush (occasionally) and zap the inside with my Dyson when I get home.
I'm not concerned about dust in the crooks and nannies when away (or at any time, TBH).

I have a vax blade, that works quite well. The brush and crevice tool attach directly to the machine without the extension for floors.

Vax TBT3V1T1 Blade 32 V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, Blue Amazon product ASIN B07C55G2VC

Shark, folds in half. The best vac I have ever had. Bought refurbished on eBay and came with three batteries.

Look on the Direct Vacuums website - I got a Vax Blade 4 Pet from them for £85, new, but not in original box…….

For the Boat we just take our rechargeable Dyson from home with us. As and when the PVC arrrives I think we can probably manage without. A brush and wet wipe will most likely work; but if not will take the same Dyson from home again; no point in doubling up, it's just a Vacuum cleaner after all!

We upgraded from a hand-held Dyson to a "stick" Dyson, so now keep the handheld in the van. We charge it before we go and have never needed the charger on a week's holiday.

Another vote for the Dyson car and boat version. It comes with 240v and 12v chargers. It hangs on the wall of our motor home's garage and is permanently plugged into the 12v socket.

Used to wonder why the better half used a brush and dustpan because I could see half the dust she brushed rise in the air only to settle back on the carpet later. We just bought a cheap mains cylinder vac,,35 quid and it will work from the invertor..BUSBY.

With an all wood floor, no carpet what do i need a vacuum cleaner for? I can only think they are of use for me in nooks and crannies not able to be reached by hand brushes

We very rarely connect up to electric but my wife still wanted a vacuum cleaner in the motorhome. After looking around on Amazon (other sites are available!!) I found one that has a USB charging option. It also has a powerful suction & all the tools & housed in a neat little bag. The one I actually ordered doesn't seem to be available now but there are similar ones shown on the site. We were very pleased with it.

We have the black and decker 12v same as the first amazon link. Really good, picks up everything and the lead is really long.reaches from the front to the back of our arapaho.
