Try Richer Sounds, good service and prices.

Thank you for the recommendation but I'm after one that I can just plug straight into the 12v socket don't really want to run one through the inverter.

Some swear by Avtex ,but horses for courses ,I did have a 12v Celo worked fine but no inbuilt sat, hence going the inverter route at a fraction of cost .
Good luck in your search (y)

I have an Avtex but to be honest it a bit tinny sounding to me.

Had it for quite a while from when I first bought a mh. I went back to the shop with it don't know how many times because the tuner wasn't working. Last time was a different server who explained that every time I left the shop and went to wherever my van parked, I had to retune it!!!! :(

... and the first guy had NO excuse ..he wasn't blonde. :)

Tut tut tut!... :rofl::rofl:

Finlux 22 ins 12volt and 240volt..Only ever use mine on 12 volt lead..Built in dvd,,They have them on Amazon,,pleased with mine,,think it was about £145.BUSBY.

I have a Small 18" Cello. (bought for the caravan). Tad too small in the M-H. Now about 6 years old and giving good service. Mostly used on "Sky" via HDMI, and always on 12V. Sound can be drowned out sometimes even on full.

We have a falcon, pretty pleased with it.

I have an Aztex and s Cello both 12/240 volts
I prefer the Avtex. It’s more user friendly, both have dvd and the Cello has Freesat . Quality is better on the Avtex

To be fair, I only paid about 1/3rd of the price of an Avtex. So I suppose you could expect quality to suffer a little (like the sound).

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like Cello is the most popular one.
In the op you said you wanted a smart tv ?
I do not think any of the suggestions are suitable to your needs.. mind you, I do not think there is a 12v smart telly out there at the moment.
Unless bought out in the recent past few months neither Avtex nor Cello have one in their line up

We hava a cello traveller with an amazon fire stick in it which pretty much makes it a smart tv. Picture quality is okay but my dads avtex is better. Sound will always be a bit rubbish on small tvs but you could run an external speaker for that. We will sell out tv with our van and have a new one and if i can stretch to it i will have an avtex this time

Another vote for amazon fire stick, we put kodi and other android apps on it

I'm with @Jaws I did look pretty hard for a 12v smart TV and couldn't find one .
The Celo bought from @old-mo was great and yes the firestick loaded with apk apps work fine with it home and away
( still going well with all new apps )
But the tv had limitations .
Hence going the 240v/inverter -Toshiba route in my previous post
Stream to it from phone or tablet data or WiFi .
Works for me (y)

I was after a 12v smart tv but as you say there does not seem to be one at the moment. So the next best I think would be the Cello and plug my firestick in to it..

We had a Cello for several myears ( still get it as a spare :-) ) and it is excellent.
The only reason we changed to Avtex was we wanted a 32" and that was the only make of that size

I recently recommended the Cello TV, Wish I hadn't . We just came back from a 4 night trip and the TV kept freezing up whilst watching digital stations and on dvd , only way I could get it to work again was to unplug it. We also noticed that the viewing angle is terrible ( never noticed before ) ie you really have to be in front of the TV for a good picture if you move only a little to either side to watch it becomes shadowy , So its getting sent back as only purchased 3 months ago. So looking for 12V tv recommendations please as will not be buying another Cello.

Which Cello have you got?
We had a 19" Traveller in our last van and now have a 22" Traveller.
Vertical viewing angle not that good but as you always sit at the same height once set up when mounting not a problem. Horizontal viewing angle very good. Never had either TV freeze.

That is the cheaper one, not the Traveller. The Traveller version comes with a stabilised 12v supply and is full 1089p HD & a satellite tuner, it has better viewing angles.

I recently bought a Cello 24" smart tv from the manufacturers via ebay, so far it seems to work really well although it hasn't been extensively tested. Comes with all the usual smart features, Wi-Fi etc and has all the normal catchup and online vid services pre installed. Sound quality is not great though.

I will have a look at the Traveller before completely dismissing Cello and looking elsewhere, thanks

Interesting and subjective thread. We are also in the market for a new tv and recently purchased one of the Avtex "pro" series 21" panels. We were that disappointed with the picture quality it got returned. Sound bar was goo though!
