The Company I purchased my Cello from on Ebay have the traveller as I have just looked, So will maybe ask them to replace my duff Cello with the traveller ? Worth a shot as much the same price.

Make sure it is the Traveller as they are normally a lot dearer, don't think they do the Traveller in 20".

I'm looking for a TV and not easy! We were after something bigger than a 22" - Cello only go up to 22" in Traveller although they do others not in the Traveller Range - I asked if there was a difference and told yes - but not what it is! I am guessing the Traveller is maybe more robust and suited to life on the road - Avtex well recommended but at a price - can get two Cellos for the price of one Avtex - are they really that much better?
Was never entirely happy with our last TV - viewing angle was poor - cant remember the brand as it disappeared with our Motorhome!

Getting there!
I'll not rush to buy Avtex . Waiting for the new Cello smart traveller to become available. Give that a whirl.

I don't rate these small electronics manufacturers, they don't have access to massive research and development funds like Samsung etc.
Each TV is like a home made prototype by comparison. Some will work OK of course. But if you insist on having a motorhome TV, it's the chance you take. Good luck (y)

I have an Avtex but to be honest it a bit tinny sounding to me.

Had it for quite a while from when I first bought a mh. I went back to the shop with it don't know how many times because the tuner wasn't working. Last time was a different server who explained that every time I left the shop and went to wherever my van parked, I had to retune it!!!! :(

... and the first guy had NO excuse ..he wasn't blonde. :)

They do a soundbar now (Avtex)

Slight to minor!
We have a Finlux TV that can run from 12V or 240V, it has a built-in DVD player that lasted a fair while but stopped working eventually, and a ROKU stick plugged in that does all the Netflix, Amazon, Youtube stuff.

The ROKU is good as it does everything and the remote is wireless so you don't have to point it anywhere.

Update on my TV situation, Just got refund on my faulty Cello TV which I sent back, I opted to give Cello another chance and purchased a Cello 22"TV / DVD Traveller edition, awaiting delivery and will comment once received and tested.

That is the cheaper one, not the Traveller. The Traveller version comes with a stabilised 12v supply and is full 1089p HD & a satellite tuner, it has better viewing angles.

Update, I received the 22" Traveller Tv / Dvd today and tested it in the spare bedroom. First impressions are very good compared to the one I sent back, The viewing angles were good with no loss of quality of picture even at nearly 90 degrees horizontally, will get a proper test when we get out on the road soon. Thanks to Lenny for the recommendations.

I have a Cello Traveller 22 inch tv and a Avtex 22 inch tv and there is no comparison the colour and viewing angles on the Avtex are much better, the sound on the Cello is atrocious and has to be used through a sound bar, the only advantage the Cello has is that it has its own internal battery so usfull of grid as it does not deplete the hab battery at night and it can be used as a power bank to recharge phones.

Must admit never seen an Avtex in use but had a 19" & 22" Cello, horizontal viewing angle and colour very good, vertical viewing angle poor but not important as you always view from the same height. I always wire the sound to the vans sound system so not important to me.

We have a falcon, ours is the smaller one which comes with a bluetooth soundbar. Cant fault it. @MicknMew also have one but theirs is bigger and their soundbar needs to be wired.

You can buy them at the shows from Falcon . Cheaper price than the link.

Thanks for that. Might just wait and see about that new Cello/Ferguson smart traveller that’s due this month. That looks ok for the money.
