Like most others we always wave at other motorhome drivers.

But sometimes I wave and then realise I am not in my motorhome but in my car!

So if you see some nutter waving madly from a car its probably me forgetting which vehicle I am driving (old age is my excuse).

Does anyone else do this??????

Yes, maybe its the water in Shropshire - we are in Longnor, just off the A49.

Funnily enough I was visiting someone in Ford last week - I probably waved at your van as I passed!

We often wave when in the car but never get a response, I wouldn't think the motorhomers are looking at cars so don't see us waving.

I've wanted to do it even when cycling and see a nice (ok, any!) MH on the road and have to remind myself that they won't have a clue what I'm waving at :roflmto:

The first meet we ever went on (with another forum before this one was formed) was to Ashbourne, including a coach trip round north west Derbyshire. We had a stop in Bakewell where several of us arrived at the pick-up point before the bus.

Goodness knows what all the motorhome drivers thought of a group of a dozen or so tourists standing and waving at them :roflmto:

Recently on a coach in Scotland and saw a m/h heading towards us (we were in the front seats) Jean was telling me not to wave (reading my mind, as she often does) but I said, "oh what the heck" and waved anyway. Imagine our surprise as the driver of the m/h raised his hand....

...and flicked some hair from his face! :ROFLMAO:

Just starting
I drive a little Mazda Bongo which (for those who may not know) has a lift up roof and the BongoFury forum used to have us making a...how to describe it properly?...arm signal on the top of our heads, just like our roof lifting up!

In theory, any bongo driver seeing us make that sign whether we were walking, cycling or what, would know we owned a Bongo :roflmto: and passers by thought we were stark staring mad of course

Since 2008. Owned since July 2013.
I ride motorbikes a lot as well - so when I see a bike or a motorhome coming, to be honest I don't know whether I'm nodding, waving or just sitting still. I probably look like I'm having a spasm.

Waving

My wife has a right go at me because I can't resist the urge to wave at motorhomes when we are in our car. She thinks I'm mad, but I KNOW I'm mad. But we once saw another van coming towards us and when we waved, what looked like a model rabbit on the dashboard flipped both ears up. Gave us a laugh. Don't suppose it was a funster?
