What is your van lacking that would make life much easier?

Hmmm🤔🤔🤔
1, some racking for the spare pumps!
2, built in washer, dishwasher.
3, waste water filtration system!
4, tec tower out, compressor and microwave in its place.
5, Built in laundry basket
Having read the 'Lenny's Gin palace mods' thread, Westy is this just your Lenny 'To do' list?? ;)

My wish is to understand all the electrical advice in Lenny's thread and to be able to install an external electronic grey waste valve! The release valve in our Laika is in the daftest position imaginable. You have to be a contortionist or leave a quarter of the garage empty!!

Yes I have loads of work for uncle Lenny HB and the guys at Offgrid 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Something else I might fit, an external BBQ gas point so we can cook outside. Sick of buying those butane cans that leak and when you want to use it there's no gas left.
Can anyone recommend a portable gas stove? Only need a single one 🤔

Electric operated dump valve. Why is it carthago put a big handle in the middle of the floor?
It never fails, does it?

I'm not fond of electrical stuff I don't need when there is a reasonably convenient manual solution.

Ps, could you come finish winding my awning out, my shoulders getting tired!

Stronger awning arms….😕
Apart from that the fun bus is mucho fun and needs nothing…..but a nice Phillapino massage specialist would be nice..🥰🥰
Convert the garage as living quarters?

Cadac Cook 2 pro 3 deluxe qr!

(I kid you not on the name)

Deluxe has the side wind deflectors and a quick release for the gas connector.

When we were buying last year, the one thing obviously missing was external gas point, so had one installed.

Couldn't imagine cooking inside in the middle of the day, when you can do it outside!

Get to the back of the queue! You've only just been there.

It's my turn now!
Yes but think of it like this….by the time they’ve done the jobs on my van they will be able to do yours with more know how and experience😉🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cadac 2 pro 3 excellent piece of kit Had an extra external point fitted on on opposite side so got both sides covered Now got a choice of which side of the van to cook depends on the weather

Ooo interesting. We're they built on different vehicles or just with different engines?
The Flair was lighter and only 6 speeds against the 8 of the ZF in the Palace, both on the 3 litre IVECO chassis but built 15 years apart so no doubt the newer one in kinder to the environment at the expense of a lot of electronics and ad-blue strangulation, on the ZF 8 speed top is about one and a half gears higher that 6th with the 6 speed manual so maybe that goes towards the feeling that it needs more grunt.

Seriously upgrade from 3500 to 4250 kg on a car licence, withal the safety features been built in the last few years , I think most people should be able to handle that without training/ retestimg ,I suspect some driving a vehicle like that and probably don't realise it.

As I understand it, a B Licence now allows a driver to drive a motorhome up to 4250kg (up from 3500kg). I´m not sure if a Campervan is included in the definition of a motorhome.

That is for a license only. The vehicle total and axle weights remain as they were, and if you need to take advantage of this extra 750kg of headroom (payload or fixed weight), then you need to buy a motorhome with 4250kg allowance OR have an existing 3500kg unit up-plated.

Is that correct?

As I understand it, the extra weight allowance is for EV equipment only. I've read that its specifically not for increased payload and only to allow for the extra weight needed for batteries to drive the vehicle motor.

I'll start.
Screw in sink taps.
The amount of times I've gone to do the washing up using the last of the hot water from the kettle, and the first plate/knife/fork etc to dislodges the plug. Out drains all the hot, soapy water.

Second thing is a roll out sun awning made out of flexible solar panels.
A driver

Only lacking things which the compromise of a pvc brings so they were not unexpected: floor space for a dog, a permanent table, room to pass one another in the galley.

No.

In the UK, it is EVs (possibly hydrogen as well?) only.

EU are introducing it for all Motor Caravans regardless of engine, but still not in law and a few years to implement.

The inside door to the gas locker on the front rather side - have to move stuff in garage to get to it.

Behind the large circular hatch is an LPG tank, opening the hatch views the guage and lets you turn it off for the ferry. The small circular hatch is the LPG filling point.

We were happy to have a PVC that needs a little wiggling in the galley as it means it can be stored in the back garden out of sight for free....as we're in Salford it's one less worry. If I could have one thing it'd be a Warp Drive rather than a Warped Driver (so Mrs PB says).
