What is your van lacking that would make life much easier?

Which bit did we get wrong, 🤔

Big garage for scooter ✔️
Retarder✔️
Solar✔️
Lithium ✔️
Bar✔️✔️

I could go on (and often do😏)

Oh sorry it’s only got 4 cylinders and an auto box.
Laundry basket, dishwasher, and a bit more lithium😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'll start.
Screw in sink taps.
The amount of times I've gone to do the washing up using the last of the hot water from the kettle, and the first plate/knife/fork etc to dislodges the plug. Out drains all the hot, soapy water.

Second thing is a roll out sun awning made out of flexible solar panels.
We always use a bowl - uses less water and no issue with the plug. You can buy a bowl with a plug in it at Tescos too if that would fit. Our bowl is quite small - bought at Lidl but you can get them on Amazon easily too.

Constrained by size and money we would like a drop down bed that be left made up when in the roof. Any suggestions 6.2m max length

A slave to put up and take down the safari room, empty the loo casette and spray the mechanism with silicon greace, empty the grey tank, fill the fresh tank, clean and shine the bikes, get out and put away the outside furniture, clean up everything after I have cooked yet another world famous paella, a levertation lever to rise vertically in traffic jams for propper overtaking, endless supply of diesel and adblue and free servicing.

Yes, I took use a bowl, a stainless steel one just the bottom half size of my largest plate.
As you say, it uses a lot less water. 👍

How strange so many saying "self levellers"...in 5 yrs of fulltiming home and abroad in our van I can only think of one or two occasions when I have thought Self Levelling would be useful here.
One thing I really would like on our van however is better access to the underfloor tanks and wiring.. when they put these things together they give very little thought to getting at stuff between the floors that may require fixing.

Love the two way switching idea ....

I've added most of things I felt were missing, but perhaps the simplest and best were the cup holders for morning coffee in bed (after the lithium and inverter!) but that doesn't mean I have stopped looking for tweaks to improve the experience....
Cup-holders........great idea!!!

Two things really.

1. A rear U shaped lounge for comfort when camping in less than ideal weather all year round.
2. Longitudinal rather than transverse bed.

Both of which are why we are currently in between vans having sold one that has neither of the above and ordered one which has both. Living and learning is an expensive business

Electric operated dump valve. Why is it carthago put a big handle in the middle of the floor?

On a slightly off topic note, does anyone use Kitchen Paper to first clean all dishes, cutlery, pans if washing up in the van ? (Obviously doesn't apply if using the site facilities) Only takes 1 to 2 pieces and makes washing up easier and most importantly keeps your grey tank much much cleaner for longer ! Travelling around Europe for 3 months and has been a huge benefit. Keeps the pipes/traps much cleaner and smelling better......was shown this tip by a Kiwi we met who said they do it a lot in NZ.... When I empty the grey tap there's hardly any smell !!
Yes, I saw Suggy do it once and thought what a good idea and done it ever since

I'd like a 'New Owner' as our van will soon be up for sale (plus all the kit as we are having to give up motorhoming)
