Good morning, rain all night long but we were very comfortable as temp was down to 13 degrees and ok for sleeping. My yellow spanner is still showing on dash but we have drove for a full hour and engine sounds no different than before. Perhaps its a service indication as last service was done 2 years ago with all Fiat parts and I've only done around 11000 miles since then so believe I'm good for a while yet. Anyway, moving on we have arrived in San Marino with the fuel gauge in reserve. A good bit of planning on my part as diesel here is 1.72 and we have brimmed. Bad news......we can't see a sodding thing the whole hill is covered in morning fog lol and it's been showers on and off all the way here. Still we're here now and about to set off for the small lift that will take us up onto the top so we can see more fog. Pictures are a maybe today but we might just head off to the coast if things do not improve. Later Gator
Try resetting the service light. Youtube will have a how to do video
Then see if it comes back on

I loved san marino. Couldn't believe all the shops selling weapons though its unreal
Yes, quite scary I thought. The assault riffles inside looked like the real deal to me with handguns under a counter at the rear. The handguns in the front window looked like replicas that were in fact a pellet gun. We had a very early lunch in San Marino and left as it was still very foggy and as much as I wanted to take in thr fabulous views I knew existed we decided to push on as we had a chance of 3 nights with lecce on an Aire next to the Adriaric Sea and only 12 euros a night which I thought was a good deal. Driving in we are in a small seaside type resort rammed with bars, restaurants, supermarkets and god knows what else and perfect for us to relax for 3 days before pushing on down to the ferry port. Its a little breezy here at the moment with betrr weather forecast for the weekend and we look forward to that . Pictures to follow a bit later.

I accidently fell over a bar while looking for a hole in the wall. I don't Speke a word of Iti and the local don't understand proper English. We're getting on just fine.
This is a lot better than it looks. There music is utter shite though.

Greece trump's croatia in my humble opinion.

No contest in fact
Mmmm , Croatia is expensive too. We absolutely loved Greece and would like to explore more of it. We travel very similarly to you. What about Croatia put you off? We have all of September and October free but have to use non Schengen because we want to spend 90 days in Spain feb March April. Turkey too far away for that timeframe. Also read that Croatia will become Schengen 2023/4 so thought we best visit when we can. still in 2 minds though. Sorry to hijak you’re thread Phil!

We are just back from a walk and now have a better understanding of our location and we both give it a big thumbs up. The camper park itself can accommodate over 100 motorhomes on a open field type park with loads of electrical outlets, showers, black and grey waste disposal and fresh water. Across the road are loads and loads of large type hut buildings where fresh fish and shell fish are sold on a daily bases. This area is well known for its fresh fish. Along the beach are various fish restaurants ice cream parlours and the like and the power walkers, dog walkers and joggers exercise each morning. A couple of streets back finds all manner of shops, bars, supermarkets and looks like it had a thriving night life.
It's been very light showers this morning and a little overcast but now the heat has been turned up and its a lot brighter too. Its going to get quite hot in the next few days.
Some pictures of the immediate area.

During our conversation with Martin and Sue who joined us yesterday afternoon, Martin pointed out that although there are plenty of LPG availability at fuel stations, particularly on the toll roads, they would not allow motorhomes to fill their tanks at these stations. I did plan to top up mine before catching the Ferry at Bari on Tuesday and can manage ok if refused but thought I should mention this for the bennifit of other members who may be following this thread and planning to use LPG in Italy. Nice and warm this morning, anouther 8 motorhomes pulled in yesterday and no doubt this place will see more in the coming days.

So, Martin, Sue and Mena find a bar to sit at while I find us a restaurant and book a table for later. I come back after a sucessful hunt to find a beer waiting for me and we have one more and then ask for the bill before slopping of to the restaurant.

What a morning, not a cloud in the sky and its high teens already. We went out for dinner yesterday evening and the main street was rammed. The locals seem to be on parade stolling up and down in their finest clothes and some are very smart too. As best we can make out, everything thing opens morning to early afternoon and then again from around 7 p.m.
Today we leave behind Martin & Sue who will stay here a little longer and we catch up again after we both cross into Greece due to different sailing dates.
The lady in the hut, Maria is really nice, has very good English and very helpful. A couple of pics from yesterday. Later Gator.

Trust me Tam, I'm in some serious pain about this and very close to ruining a hard earned reputation. I have found this place today though and the two large bottles of cold beer and all the goodies came in at 7.50 which is about the best we have done since being in Italy. We will be in Greece in two days and then I'll restore my credibility. About to fire up my BBQ in the middle of a car park, that will put the cat amongst the pigeons lol
Getting hot here too.
