im just in the prosess of sending an email to my local mp to have all lefthand drive american rv's banned from our roads or at least put the road fund licence up to about 2 grand a year and imposing a huge green tax on them if they cannot acheive at least 25 mpg. on the ground's of damageing the enviroment and being driven for pleasure.
but what about lefthand drive lorrys i hear you ask, thay are not being driven for pleasure but bringing goods into this great country.
my local mp is the man himself the prime minister.
any thing other members might want to add before i get the wife to check the spelling and grammer, and i fire it off.
this is not a wind up i am doing it.
you never know he might go with it on enviromentle grounds:thumb:

Oooooh Dear!
First they want a smoking ban.
Then they want a LHD RV ban.
We only need a Budweiser ban and Pappajohn will be getting suicidal!

ochhhhh Chris bit controversial being we all drive big vans /buses they already pay through the nose on fuel £250.00 to fill up one tank :Eeek::Eeek:
but best luck on this one

i like rv's but on our narrow british roads there is just no place for them.
i was going to buy one but decided not to on the grounds that i should not be burning up all that fossil fuel and damageing the enviroment.

chris

in retaliation I'm emailing my MP to demand fishing and shooting be banned as its cruel to wildlife and contravenes the aforesaid wildlife's rights.

million's of others have allready done this.

chris

Bored tonight Chris?:Rofl1: Decided to go ..:reel:

but buses transport people about and big wagons transport goods about .
not just a couple of people and a dog.
also i think if people what these big gas guzzling rv's they should at least pay somthing back to the government.
and not just the fuel duty.
if i want a big 4x4 i have to pay big road fund licence.
my daughter has a family people carrier and she has to pay £425 RFL per year.
but it does 30 to the gallon.

We do buy one and pay the VAT have the repairs done more exspensive more people in work oh more VAT and if think putting the road tax up is going to get much in revenue just count how many RVs there are on the road, wont bring in much then work out how much they pay per mile driven possibly more than the average car, I own six cars most are lucky to do over 1,000 miles per year, but I tax them all, I am all for road tax being included in fuel price it would save me a fortune, but for the fact that any government wold milk that as well.

All the best Rick
