A nice long walk today along part of the 80 mile long dales way walking route, ended up at burnsall, a lovely small village but it had a church and a pub 😀 2 pints please.. Although the weather has been a little damp (understatement) it was still nice to walk along the river.

Set off this morning to come to coniston Coppice CAMC site in the Lake District.
We had to stop off at Seasons Bakery at Ingliton which was on route and so glad we did, gorgeous sour dough bread, pies, cakes etc. Thank you namwaldog great recommendation.
We also called into Barrow-in-Furness (Booker cash and carry) as well to fill up with more booze as my sister in law, brother in law and the 2 nephews are joining us for a few days and like us are known to imbibe alcohol now and again 🤣🤣.
So after filling up with with water we are settled and just chilling on the camp site.
(family arrives tomorrow)
I hope the weather forecast improves as the old man of coniston is a great walk and we would like to do it as a group on Tuesday.

We had a night back at base last night as I had a dentist appointment today (root canal) ouch, now the proud owner of a temporary cap whilst we await a proper one. Just pitched up at Hebden bridge Camc site. Walks tomorrow. Although West Yorkshire does go into tier 3 on monday which is actually the day this site closes anyway, easy for the wardens. We had booked clumber park (cancelled due to the area going into tier 3) as we are in doncaster Monday for the self levellers to be fitted.

Lovely little site . Cheap too as no toilet block. Turn right out of site for a "local" pub, left to walk into Mytholmroyd, then along canal to Hebden Bridge. I've not done either of these even though I've stayed there 2 or 3 times. It's usually just been an extension to the start or end of another trip as I only live 15 miles away.

After reading the news that Mr Johnson is going to be announcing a national lockdown on Monday I’m so happy that our self levelling is going to be fitted on Monday and our snags attended to on Tuesday as I reckon it will be at least a few days before it kicks in. Oh well back to Whitchurch stomping about on all the local trails. I do wonder how other full timers manage when they don’t have a solid base to park up at, we do feel very lucky that we have this facility although its not spain it is a safe location.

A nice ride out on the scooter taking in the village of Heptonstall which is a very quaint cobble roaded village with a very unusual set up of 2 churchs one in use and one derelict. Very atmospheric and a nice place for a quick wander about. Moor ride bringing us back into hebdon Bridge where there is an excellent wine shop/bar with great stocks 6 bottles of wine and a couple of local bottlle beers later, a quick mooch around the small market (wineshop is opposite) and some local sausage and blackpudding finished off our little shopping excursion. Now back at the camping doing a nice Sunday pie lunch with home made apple crumble.
Perfect.

We now have self levellers thank you Specialist Automotive Products of Doncaster.
Awaiting a ridiculous amount of Chinese takeaway to be delivered.
Snags to be completed at premium motorhomes tomorrow.
Then back to base in Whitchurch for a joyous month of lockdown.

Not what you want to hear but how is this lockdown affecting the business? If I were in your position I would be contacting a film crew, you have the makings of a great 4pm to 6pm programme in your travels and lifestyle ( No charge!) (y)

As a company we have had everything cancel on us from last Christmas. We had hoped we would have had some work this Christmas but unfortunately everything has cancelled (understandably).
Our next possible contract is next June we hope this will go ahead but we shall wait and see.
We are lucky that we have a healthy buffer zone but it’s still worrying.

I had a pot noodle for my lunch yesterday. ....but as all my french and nederland neighbours were eating outside i emptied the pot in to a bowl inside the van before taking it outside 😁 ....one doesn't want to appear common 🤣🤣

Had you not considered having your snagging done at the factory in Germany ?
