Sorry the boat is Bale de Seine on the 12th JanWhich boat are you on? It makes a difference!
In economy, you have to book your own tables at the restaurant, and the breakfast isn't brought to your room. The cabin is smaller but that's about it.
Give us more info on the boat, and you'll receive more info.
Depends on the ship, some ships have special dog friendly cabins, only supposed to be one dog per cabin but we always get away with two smaller ones. All have kennels. The economie ship only allows dogs for cars as the garage area for dog owners is one of the lower headroom areas.Slightly off thread but what is the position regarding taking your on the ship, do they provide a kennel or can you take your dog in the cabin.

Ah! I misunderstood! This is the new Economie service that Brittany Ferries are offering. I'm afraid I know nothing about this service, but reading the literature, it looks like it does what it says on the tin. Smaller ships with limited services on board, so that they can offer cheaper fairs on these boats.Sorry the boat is Bale de Seine on the 12th Jan
No lifts on the economy ferries

There are lifts on "economie" but no escalators which are on the "cruise" ships. No lifts on the economy ferries
Trouble with the dog friendly cabins is that they are not guaranteed so if you turn up and they have substituted the ship you are stuffed.Depends on the ship, some ships have special dog friendly cabins, only supposed to be one dog per cabin but we always get away with two smaller ones. A potentially rougher trip on an older, lighter and less stabilised boat, better take the stoogie!!!Catching the ferry in January what should I expect from the economy class tickets.

Yup, this is our favourite boat. But then I like all the shopping and restaurants etc. I can understand that some people find that hell on earth though. One of my cousins for example.I told her how much we enjoyed the Pont Aven, she did the crossing and stayed in the cabin or up on deck the whole journey. Ate a packed lunch, she would have been betteroff on the Economie!Personally I wouldn't take any ship to Spain except the Pont Aven.
The smaller ships make an already boring journey unbearable.
Cap Finistere is a bigger ship isn't it? About the same size as the Pont Aven? Hope so, I'm booked on it.Personally I wouldn't take any ship to Spain except the Pont Aven.

Wouldn't fancy it this weekend, it's blowing a hoolie down here (Spain)
No it's a lot smaller and I have to say more boring.
It's ok, but for future purposes I suggest you only book on the Pont Aven
